i am nikki dahiya and i am a mba student from banasthali university rajasthan and i want to be a part of indian army my age is 20 n my height is 5.5"so i want to know about the joining process please tell me.i shall be very thankful to you.

The entrance exams available for joining in Indian Army common and usual are NDA exam and CDS exam. Both exams are conducted by Union Public Service Commission of India.

The former exam is an entrance exam for defense services for 12th passed out candidates from a recognized school. For appearing in this exam you must be an unmarried male candidate and your age must be above 16.5years and below 19years.

The latter exam named as CDS(Common Defense Service Exam) is also an entrance exam for Indian defense services of graduates of any discipline from any recognized university of India. For appearing in this exam you must be an unmarried male candidate and your age must be above 19years and below 23years.

You can join Indian Army in :-

• Combined Defence Service examination
• NCC Special Entry Scheme

CDS stands for Combined Defence Service examination and this examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission twice in a year and this examination is conducted for recruitment of Army,Navy,Air force,Officer Training.

Indian Army :-

The candidate have to possess graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized University or equivalent qualification and there is no specific marks required for this examination.Minimum pass marks is enough to appear for this examination.The age limits for this examination is that the candidate must have attained the age of 19 years and must not have attained the age of 24 years at the time of appearing for this examination.Those who are appearing in the final year of degree course may also eligible to apply for this examination but pre-final year candidates are not eligible to apply for this examination.

This year CDS I notification was already released and it is available in the official website of Union Public Service Commission but last date for the application was already closed.So you can't apply for this examination and the next notification will be publish in the month of June in the official website as well as employment news papers also.

NCC Special Entry Scheme :-

The candidate Should be completed graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized University or equivalent qualification and the candidate must secure at least 50% aggregate marks in their examination.The age limits for this examination is that the candidate must have attained the age of 19 years and must not have attained the age of 25 years at the time of appearing for this examination.Candidates who are pursing in the final year of degree course with 50% aggregate marks may also eligible to apply for this examination.The candidate must have a two years service in NCC Senior Division army with minimum B grade in C certificate examination.

My friend as your pursuing MBA course wright now, then you can apply for Indian Army through CDS exam..

CDS exam is defense service exam which is conducted by UPSC twice in every year.

Eligibility for the exam:-

For Indian Military academy:-

1.Candidate must have complete the graduation in any trade.
2.Final year candidates can also apply for the exam.

Age limit:--

1.Candidates age should be in between 19-24 years.

*Candidate should be a citizen of India.
*Candidate must be physically fit..

So, as you are 20 years old and you are pursuing the MBA course then you are surely eligible for the exam.

As you are a graduate students you can apply for any post according to your eligibility criteria ,After +2 the exam which you can be applied for science back round students is NDA , which is organize twice in a year.

After graduation you can apply for the post mention in the advertisements below.......

CDS - COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE exam conducted by UPSC twice every year as CDS-I and CDS-II for entry in to:-

Indian Army Academy
Indian Naval Academy
Indian Air Force Academy
Indian Officer's Training Academy

The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appeared for the final graduation degree exam or passed from any stream from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 25 years can apply for CDS.

To join Indian Army of CDS you should be within the age of 19 to 24 years. The registration for CDS-I 2012 exam has already been completed if you are interested you can apply for CDS-II 2012 exam, the notification will come out in the month of June.

For NCC Special Entry Scheme, the candidate should be graduate from any discipline with 50% marks from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 25 years of age. The candidate should be active for at least two years in Senior Division NCC Army wing with Completion of NCC "C" Certificate Examination.

you can join Indian Army through the different selection procedure like:

CDS(combined Defence Services)
Eligiblity: candidate should be less the 24 yr old,and he having at least mor than 45% marks in graduations.
Notifications are comes in the month of April.
SSC(short service commission):

Eligibility: candidate should be graduated with 60% marks in garaduate.And age shoud be in 19-24.

notifications are comes in the month of may-june.
NCC Special Entry Scheme:
Eligibility:The candidate should have graduated with 50% aggregate marks from university.The age limits for this examination is that the candidate must have attained the age of 19 years and must not have attained the age of 25years at the time of appearing for this examination.Candidates who are pursing in the final year of degree coursewith 50% aggregate marks may also eligible to apply for this examination.The candidate must have a two years service in NCC Senior Division army with minimum B grade in C certificate examination.

the mostly the notification are coming in the month of April-may.
