No, Group discussion is not essential for IES Entrance examination. The applicant need to be qualified in Written and Interview. IES stand for Indian Engineering and this entrance examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission for every year. Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering stream from a recognized University and Final year candidate may also eligible to apply for this entrance examination. Applicants age should not be more than 30 years and not below than 21 years and relaxation will be applicable for SC/ST and OBC category candidates. So, If you have satisfy the criteria then your eligible to apply for IES Exam.
