Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of the Government of India.

Courses offered by the FTII:

Three year Post Graduate courses

• Direction

• Cinematography

• Sound Recording and Sound Design

• Editing

Two years Post Graduate courses in Diploma:

• Acting

• Art Direction and Production Design

One and a half certificate course in:

• Animation

• Computer Graphics

One year Post graduate certificate in:

• Feature film screenplay writing

• Direction

• Electronic Cinematography

• Video Editing

• Sound Recording

• TV Engineering


Eligibility Criteria:

• Candidates must have completed graduation / bachelor’s degree from the recognized University to be eligible for this course.

• Candidates must have completed 10+2 level with Physics as the mandatory subject to be eligible for some of these courses.

• Bachelor’s degree must be completed any of these fields:

1. Architecture

2. Painting

3. Applied Arts

4. Sculpture

5. Interior Design

6. Fine Arts



Important Dates:

• Last date for submission of completed application forms: last week of June, 2011

• Entrance examination: 1st week of August, 2011

There is No specific Study Material For this you can Crack this Exam because G.K and General Mental Ability Test can be covered from General Books available in Market.

For G.K you can opt for Manorama and For General Mental Ability you can go for R.S.Agarwal Quantitative aptitude .

Note* There is an Appreciation Course gonna start soon, This course is of Rs.7,500/-
