Formula to calculate gravity value with mass and weight in earth?
A body has 3Kg mass 2.9Kg weight. What the value of G on this planet? Can you please give me the formula which I need to use to calculate the end result? I am studying on this for my research and it would be helpful if you can get back to me soon. Thanks!

Re: Formula to calculate gravity value with mass and weight in earth?
The formula is :
g = GM/R^2 where G = 6.67*10^-11 M = Mass of the planet (Earth in this case) R = Radius of the planet (Radius of earth in this case) The value of g comes out to be 9.81m/s^2. |

Re: Formula to calculate gravity value with mass and weight in earth?
I am surprises to see such queries here. Anyway weight is actually a force acting on a body on any heavenly body. Its formula is :-
Force = Mass x Gravity (Value of gravity of that planet). So putting values in this formula we get (2.9=3 x G) G is the value of gravity. by solving it we get 0.96 m/sec. |
