What about government jobs for ece in btech and their salaries..please inform me

if one studies b.arch from spa delhi then he/she can get a foreign job with good package? what is the starting salary?

You have two good options for the government jobs. You can either apply for job in Public Sector undertaking or you can appear for Indian Engineering Service. These are the options for you. Let me explain them first and then I would mention the salary.


Indian Engineering Service (IES)

The Indian Engineering Service Exam is conducted for technical and managerial jobs in various departments of the government of India. The candidates are selected by the central government on the recommendation of Union Public Service Commission, which conducts this entrance exam for Indian government.

There are very limited seats and a high number of candidates apply for them. Obviously this means that there would be a very tough competition. The jobs for Electronics and Communication Engineers are in the following departments:

Indian Supply Service

Junior Telecom Officer (Group B)

Indian Inspection Service

Indian Railway Service of Signal Engineers

Indian Naval Armament Service

Wireless Planning and Co-ordination Wing


Eligibility

1. Candidate must have B.Tech degree from a recognized university.

2. There is no percentage criteria.

3. The age limit is 21 to 30 years.

4. There is 3 years relaxation for OBC and 5 years relaxation for SC/ST.


Salary

The salary for candidates selected through Indian Engineering Service exam starts with Rs 20,000 and it could go up to 60-70,000 per month.


Public Sector Undertaking

The PSU which is short for Public Sector Undertakings are the companies in which government of India or state government owns at least 51 percent stake. At the moment there are more than 250 such companies in the country.

These companies also require B.Tech graduates for various jobs. They recruit the candidates by conducting entrance exam. The entrance exam includes a written test which is followed by interview.

Each company conducts its separate entrance exam and the dates are also released separately. You can find out about the dates through the official website of the PSU or through leading newpapers in the country.


Eligibility

1. A B.Tech degree from a recognized university.

2. Minimum of 60 percent marks in B.Tech.

3. There should be no pending backlog.

4. The age limit to apply is 21 to 30 years.

5. There is 3 years relaxation for OBC.

6. SC/ST candidates gets 5 years relaxation.

In addition, it is also recommended to appear for GATE entrance exam. Some PSU don't conduct written test but instead ask for GATE score. While some PSUs exempt candidates with good GATE score from appearing for the written test.


Salary

The salary varies from company to company. Although it generally starts from Rs 20,000 and could very well reach over 1 Lakh.
