sir i want to know that how can i admit in m.tech course 4m bits pilani ........through gate exam or any other exam conducted by bits......and if through gate then upto which percentile????????????????

For joining M.E. program at BITS,Pilani through GATE more the 85% in GATE along with good AIR is required for it.

However, BITS also conducts its own entrance for admitting students in there M.E. programs.That entrance ia an Online based entrance conducted at various centres all across India.

Last date for registration is 30 may.

There are basically two modes of entries into M.E. programs of BITS.

1) Through GATE, at least 85% in GATE along with good AIR is required for it, then you have to fill up the form for it, and appear for little written test,if you remain in merit list then admission will be provided,if required interview will also be conducted.

I ve qualified GATE - 2010 with 89.14 percentile and AIR - 5693 and am also thinkin of applying for BITSAT- 2010.
My doubt is if admitted on basis of BITSAT will i be eligible for AICTE scholarship.??

I have completed my B.E. (Electrical & Electronics) in the yr. 2007.Then took a break from study & joined a Pvt. company. Now I want to study further & complete my Post Graduation (i.e. M-Tech. in Micro Electronics) through distance learning.My question is how to get admission in such course, is there any separate entrance exam for distance learning, if so then how to apply for this.

Can I get contact no. of concern office, coz those nos. that are mentioned in site all are not working.

Better opt to Anna University.

It will be best place for catering your needs of M.tech.Admission is based on TANCET.You have missed the chance for TANCET 2010, better next time.

ME Communication Engineering is offered by BITS, Pilani campus.

Eligibility Criteria: Candidate must have passed Integrated first degree of BITS in Electrical & Electronics/ Electronics & Instrumentation or its equivalent.

Thats mean admission to out sider are based on GATE qualification and for students who have done Bachelor dergee from BITS can only appear for entrance conducted by BITS.

the procedure would be
Register Online at http://www.bits-pilani.ac.in/hdadmn/ and download the application form. The completed application form along with the prescribed fees of Rs. 600/- in the form of crossed Demand draft should be sent to Admissions Officer, BITS, Pilani-333 031.

through gate you can get into it by scoring minimum 85%

can i give bits exam if i got 80% or more in 12th boards but PCM score may be less than 80% ....???

Yes of course !

According to Eligibility Criteria, The minimum requirement for BITSAT atleast 80 percent aggregate in you class 12 and must also have atleast 60 percent aggregate in PCM of class 12.

So, as you mentioned your PCM will be less then 80% no problem. Problem will occur then when your PCM score will be less then 60%

There r the two mode to do M>Tech at BITS,Pilane:
1: though GATE
2: though sponsorship.

if you qualified in GATE then you can apply for TA(teaching assistentship),in this course you can get rs 8000 stipend PM.inother mode ie sponsored you have to go through your employeer.

BITS Pilani has given all the details in their site for ME programs. They have their own online tests, which you can apply and appear online. you can definitely join the bits pilani through the gate exam,but you should have to score very very well in the exam and your percentile should be within 95% and you should have above 8.0in the semester exams.

Admission to M.E. at BITS is based on GATE.

Admission criteria is such that if any general cndidate is scoring at least 600+ score in GATE, and at lest 94% + Percentile in GATE, then only he/she can expect to get a seat in BITS.

So, you have to follow GATE syllabus which can be found from http://gate.iitkgp.ac.in/gate10/syllabi.php

Other GATE admission to BITS is also based on an Online Entrance. But it is only meant for candidates who have passed there Bachelor from BITS. And syllabus for it is also mor or less same.

BITS has cndidates to go through their entrances and with you masters marks which should be above 60%,you can vie for admission.

1) I think so.........! not 100% sure but yes it has MS Dergee in Computer related.

2) For persuing MS degree from BITS, candidate have to crack GATE.
At least 96% percentile in GATE along with at least 550 score and good AIR is required for it, then you have to fill up the form for it, and appear for little written test,if you remain in merit list then admission will be provided,if required interview will also be conducted.

to get good college through gate you should score persentile above 95% only then you can get suitably good college

you may take admission in Bits Pilani through GATE exam or you may get admission in Bits Pilani directly........if you get admission by GATE then you gate scholarship which is provided by the government . in direct admission you can't get any scholarship..................

There are some seats in BITS for admission on the basis of gate score and rest of the seats are alloted in the basis of bitsat exam.

yes you can do Mtech in Bits Pilani through Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) exam
The other exams conducting for this are:

1.Joint Entrance Screening test( JEST) is conducted in two subjects
Physics and Theoretical Computers
and you have to choose one of the subject for exam and accordingly prepaired

GATE is a graduate aptitude test in engineering .
its for admissions in various IIT's and NIT's or other colleges

getting admission in MTECH courses in bits is through personalized exam conducted by BITS in three location(pilani, Goa and Hyderabad).
