Re: how to apply for PhD?
hi friend.
There is no national system for applying for PhD study in the way that UCAS operates at undergraduate level. To apply for PhD study, you therefore need to apply directly to Lancaster University. You can apply online or by post. If you apply online, you will be able to track progress of your application after submission. If you wish to apply by post, you can download the application and reference form, The PhD entry requirements are normally those of a Master's degree in a relevant discipline area, including coverage of appropriate research methodologies. If instead you hold a good honours degree (typically an Upper Second Class Honours, or 3.0 on a 4 point scale or B/B+ on a literal scale) then you may be required to complete an MRes as a preparation for the PhD. Unless indicated otherwise by a particular department, our English language entry requirements are 7.0 IELTS or 600 TOEFL (or 250 on the computer-based test). At present only PhD programmes in Accounting and Finance require GMAT. |

Re: how to apply for PhD?
Good academic achievement, high marks in research during graduation and post graduation, excellent command over English are some of the requirements to be fulfilled by the candidates. The PhD Application Handbook by Peter Bentley provides eligibility criteria, information regarding funding ,research proposals etc..The application forms can be downloaded from the university website.
