Dear Friend
Almost all engineering colleges come under the range of some entrance exam. There are many private and some government colleges that conduct their own separate entrance exams. Following are the details of some entrance exams which your daughter should appear and qualify for getting admission in a good engineering colleges. IIT-JEE To be eligible for this exam one should have at least 60% marks in 12th board exam. One can attempt IIT-JEE either in the year of appearing 12th or just the succeeding year. (i.e., Only two consecutive attempts) IIT-JEE covers 7 old IITs, 8 new IITs, IT-BHU Varanasi and ISM Dhanbad. * IIT- Indian Institute of Technology. visit: http://www.iitd.ac.in/ AIEEE To be eligible for AIEEE one should have at least 50% marks in 12th board exam. One can apply for AIEEE three continuous times only in the same manner as discussed above. AIEEE covers 20 NITs and many more Govt., Govt. Funded and Self Financed institutions. visit: http://aieee.nic.in/ BITSAT BITS is the best private engineering institute in India . It is having three campuses in India; BITS Pilani, BITS Goa and BITS Hyderabad campus. To be eligible for this exam one should have at least 80% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taking together and also at least 60% marks in each of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. One can attempt BITSAT either in the year of appearing 12th or just the succeeding year. (i.e., Only two attempts). visit: http://www.bitsadmission.com/ Apart from these entrance exams you can apply for State Engineering Entrance exam of your state which covers all state government colleges and mostly private colleges of the state. |

dear friend,
Your daughter is now in 12th standard, and she has interest in engineering field, then she has to appear in entrance exams like - IIT-JEE, AIEEE etc.. Eligibility criteria for IIT-JEE:- *You must have complete the 12th in science with physics, chemistry, maths with 60% marks. *you can appear in IIT-JEE exam for maximum two times... Like- in the year of passing 12th and the next year in a consecutive manner.. To get admission in any IIT's , you have to appear in IIT-JEE exam.. And you have to perform well in that exam.. Eligibility for AIEEE:- *You must have complete the 12th in science with PCM with 50% marks.. *you can appear in AIEEE exam twice in a consecutive manner.. You can also go for diploma courses in engineering field.. for that you have to appear in entrance exams like- Poly 40.. The duration of diploma course is 3years.. After that you can go for B.tech/B.E course.. Now you decide what to do.. All the best.. |

Re: How to become an Engineer after the completion of 12th? Admission Procedure for Engineering course? Fee structure for this course?
Dear Friend ............
IT IS GOOD TIME TO ASK A QUESTION REGARDIND TO FUTURE COURSES. AS YOU MENTIONED THAT , YOU WANT TO BECOME AN ENGINEER , THEN FIRSTLY, YOU SHOULD COMPLETE SSC WITH A MINIMUM OF 60% . LATER , GO FOR 12TH AND SECURE A MINIMUM OF 60% . IT IS ALSO GOOD THAT , IF YOU GO FOR DIPLOMA AFTER 10TH . WITH DIPLOMA AS QUALIFICATION , YOU CAN APPLY FOR JUNIOR ENGINEER POSTS . THERE ARE MANY BRANCHES IN DIPLOMA LIKE , MECHANICAL . ELECTRICAL ELECTRONIC CIVIL , etc . . IF YOU GO FOR ENGINEERING AFTER 12TH , ITI SI TOO GOOD FOR YOU TO GET DIFFERENT GOOD POSTS . YOU WILL HAVE DIFFERENT BRANCHES LIKE , ECE EEE CIVIL MECHANICAL CSE IT CHAMICAL EIE , etc . . WITH CSE , IT , YOU HAVE MANY CHANCES TO BECOME A SOFTWARE ENGINEER IN IT FIELD . WITH EEE , ECE, MECHANICAL , YOU HAVE MANY CHANCES TO BECOME AN ASSISTANT ENGINEER IN DIFFERENT CORE COMPANIES. best of luck............. |

She has to give entrance tests like IIT-JEE, AIEEE, UPSEE, WBJEE, SRMEE, VITEE, etc.
She will have to give anyone of the entrance tests. Her rank will decide the college she will get. If rank is good, college will be also good. Good college means here Govt. College. |
