Re: discussion about Ph.D.
Hey Aries. Always a pleasure to know someone who wants to make a career in academic field. Since you have done your specialisation in finance I presume you want to pursue PhD. in Finance and related disciplines. Many top B-Schools offer PhD. Programmes admission to which is based on CAT and other such management entrance exam/NET etc. and the candidate's academic background, experience and an interview.
You can also do PhD. in other disciplines from most Indian Universities. Details regarding PhD. programme from several top universities and institutes is available in our website www.entrance-exam.net. Please go through the following link to check out various PhD. programmes: PhD. Programmes For details regarding UGC NET you can refer to the following link: UGC NET December 2009 Last edited by The_Wisdom; 24th October 2009 at 07:45 PM. |

Re: discussion about Ph.D.
The PhD programme is a research programme aiming to train PhD students to independently undertake research, development and teaching assignments at an international level in the private and public sectors - sectors in which a broad knowledge of research is required.
The purpose of PhD studies is to develop the studentīs capacity for identifying, comprehending, formulating and solving scientific problems in the widest sense. The chief element of a PhD study programme is an individually designed research project which the student shall carry out under the guidance of one or more supervisors, using the scientific methodology of a special area of research, and hereby contributing to advance research in this area. so its a good decision and so go for it........ best of luck |

Re: discussion about Ph.D.
A Ph.D. candidate in Computing Science at Newcastle typically comes to us with some knowledge of programming, and a clear indication of high ability. But his specific background in computing may range from a broad appreciation of some of the fundamental problems of the science to a total ignorance of others; and he perhaps may have some specialized experience in some area of interest.

Re: discussion about Ph.D.
If you intend to do a PhD in Finance, for that matter in any area, you have to be more specific. Finance is such a large area. Depends on your background. If you are a commerce graduate, may be Capital Budgeting/ Structuring decisons, (MM hypothesis attracts lot of researchers) Auditing, GAAP, M&A etc may interest you. If you have a quantitative background, research in Risk management, Banking, Derivatives etc may be suitable. International Banking, Foreign Exchange, Monetary Economics, Micro Finance, Rural Finance the list can be endless. I would suggest you to read more and zero down to a specific topic.
best of luck |

How can I calculate the percentage of Grade in 10th RBSE Marksheet?
You can calculate your percentage of Grade in 10th RBSE Marksheet by a very simple and easy mathematical equation. You need to that that you take your marks obtained in the subject divide the marks by total number of subject and multiply it by 10. Example: marks obtained 63/total marks 100Ũ100. |
