IES stands for the Indian Engineering Services. It is also called Engineering Services examination. Union Public Service Commission conducts this exam every year.

Any candidate who has done bachelor's degree in engineering or technology from a recognized university can apply for the exam. Even final year candidates can apply for this exam.

The age limit is 21-30 years. Relaxation of three years to OBC candidate and five years to SC/ST category. No matter from which stream you have done bachelor of technology, you will have to give exam in four streams only:

>>Civil Engineering.

>>Mechanical Engineering.

>>Electrical Engineering.

>>Electronics and Communication Engineering.

Preparation Strategy for Engineering Services examination:

There is three stage test consisting of general ability test, objective paper and conventional papers. In order to crack this exam, it requires hard work along determination and dedication.
