How To Join Air Force After 12th

After passing 12th..the best option for you would be to go for the National Defense Academy Exam (NDA) which is conducted every year by the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) in the months of April and August..

Eligibility Criterion :-

The candidate is eligible for appearing for the NDA Exam only if :-

>> The candidate is within the age limit of 16.5-19 years as seen on 1st January (if appearing for April exam) or 1st July (if appearing for August exam)

>> The candidate should be an unmarried male and is not permitted to marry until the training period is over..

>> The candidate must have passed 12th or equivalent from a recognized board..

Exam PAttern :-

The candidates will be tested on the basis of 2 tests :-

>> General Awareness and Aptitude
>> Test on basic English, Maths and Science

You need to clear the following rounds in order to get recruited :-

>> Written Examination

>> SSB Interview

>> Medical Examination

You must be physically fit and must comply with the minimum required qualifications required for the Air Force in order to clear the Medical Examination..

To join Air Force which is one of the 3 defence wings of National Defence Academy, the other two being the Naval and Army wing, one has to appear for the NDA exam conducted twice every year.

To appear for the exam, one has to fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

*Age of the candidate has to be from 16 ½ to 19 years

*Nationality should be Indian

*Gender- This is applicable only to men.

*Educational Qualifications- One has to pass 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics. Final year students can also apply.

### Candidates, short-listed for Air Force after the initial selection procedure, go through a rigorous three-year training regimen at the National Defence Academy, followed by specialised training at the Air Force Academy. Thereafter, they are commissioned as officers and posted as pilots at any of the Air Force Stations.

The exam is conducted by UPSC all over India in all the major cities.
