how to join airforce and what are its requirement related to education

You are not mentioned your higher educational qualification, if you are mentioned it then i will inform you the correct details.

But no need to worry about this here iam providing you the all details about airforce.

You can join indian airforce after 12th standard with NDA(National Defence Service) exam and after graduation you can appear CDS(Combined Defence Service) exam.

These exams are conducted by the UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) twice in a year.



Eligibility criteria for CDS:

Graduation in any stream from a recognised university.

Percentage is not required to appear this exam.

Being a final year candidate also eligible for CDS exam.

Both girls and boys are eligible for the CDS exam.

Age limits for airforce academy 19 years to 23 years.

You must be physically fit and should be a citizen of india.



Eligibility criteria for NDA;

The candidate should be complete 12th standard with PCM subjects from a recognised state or central board.

Percentage is not required to appear the NDA exam.

Only unmarried male candidates are only eligible.

Girls are not eligible for NDA.

You must be physically fit and should be a citizen of india.



Selection process for both CDS and NDA;

Written test,

Personal interview,

Medical test.

This exam is conducted for three wings
Indian Air force
Indian Navy
Indian Army

NDA Exam conducted by UPSC

Eligibility Criteria :

The candidates must have to pass 12th class from a recognized university

You can join Air force after 12th class through NDA exam. You need to complete 12th class in science stream with PCM as subjects. One can also join Air force after graduation. There are various entry schemes through which you can join Indian Air force as an officer. The various schemes are National defence academy examination, Combined defence service examination and Air force common admission test. The eligibility required for all these entry schemes is given below:

National defence academy examination
The NDA examination is conducted by the Union Public service commission twice in a year. This exam is conducted for the selection of candidate as an officer in Indian Air force, Army and Navy. The eligibility required for the NDA examination is given below:

Education Qualification
A candidate can apply for the NDA examination after the 10+2. Those appeared or going to appear in the 10+2 examination are also eligible to apply for this entry.
Candidate applying for the Indian Air force and Navy should have physics and Maths at 10+2.

Age Limit
For the National defence academy examination candidate age should be between 16.5 to 19 years.

Combined defence service examination
The CDS examination is conducted by the UPSC twice in a year. This exam is conducted for the selection of candidate as an officer in Indian Air force, Army and Navy at graduation level. The eligibility required for the CDS examination is given below:

Education Qualification
For the CDS examination a candidate should be graduate in any discipline from the recognized university. Those appeared in the final year examination are also eligible to apply for the combined defence service examination.
Candidate applying for the Indian Air force and Navy should have physics and maths at 10+2.

Age Limit
Indian Military Academy 19-24 Years
Air Force Academy 19-25Years
Naval Academy 19-22 Years
Officers’ Training Academy 19-25 Years


Air force common admission test
AFCAT examination is conducted by the Indian Air force twice in a year for the selection of candidate as an officer in various branches of Indian Air force such as FLYING BRANCH, TECHNICAL BRANCH and GROUND DUTY BRANCH. The eligibility required for the AFCAT examination is given below:

Education Qualification
Candidate applying for the AFCAT examination should be graduate in any discipline from the recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks.
Also a candidate should have physics and maths at 10+2.
Those appeared in the final year examination are also eligible to apply for this examination. For the TECHNICAL BRANCH only the engineering students ar eligible.

FLYING BRANCH
19-23 years

TECHNICAL BRANCH
18-28 years

GROUND DUTY BRANCH
20-23 years

for Air force exam, this exam is conduct by UPSC twice in a year.
UPSC already announce the second notification for NDA exam.
NDA have three wings:
-Army wing.
-Navy wing.
-Air Force wing.

One can join the Indian Air Force in the flying, technical or the ground branches. Know the eligibility criteria for different branches and educational qualification below.
1. Intermediate (10+2)
2. Graduate

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:

Graduate (Three Year Course ) in any discipline from a recognised university (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) / BE / B Tech (Four Year Course) .

No Percentage Bar for CDSE entry.
