Iam a female of 20 years and iam doing mechanical engineering, how can i get a job in indian army?

You can apply for engineer entry (women) in Indian Army.
The joining of women through this entry scheme is Short Service Commission only.
The age limitation is 20-27 years at the time of commencement of training.

You can apply for the recruitment exam during final year of B.Tech. or after passing the
same.

Which engineering stream is going to be recruited through this scheme is notified
through advertisement of the exam but recruitment of Mechanical Engineering graduates
is done almost every year.

The advertisement for the recruitment is published generally in the month of
Dec/Jan and Jun / Jul in the Employment News weekly.

If you want to join indian army at any age of 20 years and with the graduation you have to appear CDS(Combined Defence Service) exam.

UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) is conducting this exam two times in a year.




CDS-I,

CDS-II.



CDS has three wings:

Indian military academy,

Indian airforce,

Indian naval academy,

Officer training academy.



Eligibility criteria:


You should be complete graduation or equivalent from a recognised university.


Being a final year candidate also eligible.


You must be physically fit and you should be a citizen of india.



Age criteria;

For naval academy 19 to 22 years,

For airforce academy 19 to 23 years,

For military academy 19 to 24 years,

For Officer training 19 to 25 years.



Selection procedure:

Written test,

Interview,

Medical test.

Hello dear aspirant , for joining Indian you can only apply through SSC because Army does not recruits Women though CDS.

SHORT SERVICE COMMISSION FOR TECHNICAL WOMEN:

Notification is published in Employment News and leading Daily news Paper in Dec/Jan and Jun / Jul.

Eligibility Criteria: Age between should be between 20 and 27 years.

Qualification : Engineering Degree in notified discipline.

Only Unmarried Female Candidates are allowed.

Date Commencement of training is Oct and Apr.

Training Academy will be at OTA Chennai.

Duration of training will be of 49 Weeks.

You are female candidate and your age is 20 year so you can apply for CDS exam to join Indian Army. If you are the student of last year of your degree then you are eligible otherwise you can't apply for CDS exam right now.

Combined Defence Services Exams (CDS): this is the exam of defence sector,
for eligibility
candidate should be completed graduation
If any candidate who are appearing last year is also eligible;.
and age should be 19 to 25 year.
candidate must be Indian.

I am happy to inform you that fater passing B.Tech you are eligible for Indian Army.

For this you have to qualify the O.T.A exam.

O.T.A exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year.

Age limit for O.T.A is 19-25 year.
Only Unmarried Boy and Girl are eligible.

There are three steep of selection:-
> Written Exam
> Interview
> Medical exam

Physical requirements


eye sight :
Without glasses
Better Eye : 6/12
Worse Eye :6/12

with glasses :
Better Eye : 6/9
Worse Eye : 6/12

Your weight should be minimum 50 kg.
Your chest should be 77 cm and expansion should be 5 cm.
You should not have any disease of the skin.
You should have no disease in the ear, eyes, nose and throat.
You should be able to hear about a distance of 610 cm.
