NDA stands for National Defence Academy.
There are three categories in NDA are---Indian Army,Air Force and Navy. Candidate who want to apply for Air Force and Navy must pass his class 12th with Physics and maths from a recognized board. Candidate minimum height should be 157.5 cm and 162.5 cm for Air Force candidate. Exams are conducted between March-April and August-September. you can join IAF through the following ways
1. NDA 2. CDSE both of the exams are conducted by UPSC every year. NDA is National Defence Academy CDSE is Combined Defence Services Exam. you can apply for NDA after 12th and for CDSE after Graduation. for both you must have done graduation or 12th with Physics and Maths subjects. |

Re: How can I join IAF as a Pilot?
Dear Aspirant,
If you want to became an IAF Pilot then UPSC conducts the Combined Defence Services (CDS) Exam for admission to either one from Indian Military Academy / Indian Naval Academy/ Air Force Academy (AFA).So you just cleares the CDS Exam and then after training from AFA, you get permanent commission as pilots... |
