Or

Actually my CGPA is 8.17.

I have done my PG in computer aided structural engineering from mg university. In my 4th sem marklist the conversion of cgpa to percentage is %=(cgpa-0.75)*10
My cgpa is 8.16 and % is 74.1%
But in my certificate it is considered as distinction
Is there any error in cgpa equation? In actual case is it really possible to convert cgpa to actual percentage

YGPA(yearly grade point average) =credit index odd semester +credit index even semester /summation of credit odd semester +summation of credits even semester
CGPA(cumulative grade point average) =(1*YGPA1+1*YGPA2+1.5*YGPA3+1.5*YGPA4)/5
