Re: How to do CA after graduation?
The procedure of doing Chartered Accountancy course remains the same after graduation. You will first have to apply for the Common Proficiency Test and get admission for the second stage only upon clearing it.
However there is a rule of ICAI which can give you exemption from appearing for the Common Proficiency Test. To use this rule for your advantage, must be meeting the following criteria. Only a candidate who have scored 55 percent marks in commerce graduation and 60 percent marks in non commerce graduation can get the exemption. So now you should see whether you are eligible for the entrance exam or not. In case you aren't then clearing Common Proficiency Test becomes very important. You can apply for this test twice a year. The questions are based on the four subjects in the Common Proficiency Test. 1. Fundamentals of Accountancy 2. Economics 3. Mercantile Law 4. Quantitative Aptitude These four subjects will be divided into two groups and you will have to score 30 percent marks in each group to clear it. After clearing the Common Proficiency Test you can move forward to the second stage. Integrated Professional Competancy Course (IPCC) is the second stage of Chartered Accountancy course. The IPCC is followed by 3 years long articleship during which you can also apply for the final examination. |
