Is there any entrance exam for enrollment in flying club on the all India level as in IIT and AIEEE to get the flying club according to merit list?
If yes what are the syllabus for it?

there r no exams fr joining a flying club in india ......there are 12 -14 papers which u have to submmit during ur course.....u can just apply to any course afteer ur 12 std

My dear friend flying clubs are meant for pilots those who have a flying licence. Those Pilots who are working or retired become member of a flying club in the same way as we have members of Golf clubs, Sports club etc..

If you are opting to become a pilot then yes, there are entrance examination on various levels.

Firstly on the senior secondary level(class XII) - NDA (National Defence Acadmy)
On the basis of merit and preference from (Army, Navy, Air Force, and Naval Acadmy)
you are called for the S.S.B interveiw.
To become a pilot you need to have your first preference of Air Force in the application form and according to the marks secured by you in the entrance test you will be called for S.S.B interveiw for air force(only if you secure more marks then the merit assigned for airforce).

After being recommended in the S.S.B interview you will then have to give P.A.B.T (Pilot Aptitude Battery Test). This is the main test for a person opting for air force, and is given only for once in a life time. And after qualifying that you are eligible to become a Pilot in the Air Force.

Secondly you can also apply for C.D.S exam (Combined Defence Service) after your graduation. And the selection criteria remaining the same.


More over to become a commercial Pilot in some private airline. You can get youself enrolled in severel Fying schools without any entrance exam. For that you should only get youself checked Physically and Mentally as per the guidelines of D.G.C.A (Director General Of Civil Aviation).
After getting enrolled you will be given training and if passed then you will get the licence. After getting the licence you are free to find a job in the Aviation Industry or Get youself enrolled in any flying club you like. e.g- Safdarjung Flying Club.
