The acronym of B.Com is Bachelor of Commerce. It is three years Undergraduate course in the field of Commerce. Candidates who have passed 12th standard or equivalent in any stream from a Government recognised university are eligible to pursue B.Com course.

Admissions in B.Com course in most of the colleges are offered on basis of merit of the candidate's 12th standard board examination marks. Some top reputed colleges conducts an admission test/ entrance examination on their own to offer admissions to merit candidates in B.Com course in their college.

Candidates who have passed 12th standard in any stream can get admission only in first year of B.Com course. None of the colleges offer admissions in third year of B.Com course even if you have pursued two years of B.Com course from the other college or discontinued. So, you can get admission only in first year of B.Com course but, not in third year of B.Com course. The admission process of B.Com course starts in the month of June and ends in first week of July in most of the colleges.
