Re: How to go for IT in abroad? I am a hotel management student
IT stands for Information Technology. It is a very broad term but mostly related to software and technology that can change lives of people. If you are a hotel management graduate, there is no way you can switch to IT. There are a few things that you need to consider:
1. You must have taken Science stream (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) in your class 12th boards. 2. After that you must have taken Engineering in IT / Computer Science such that you could have got jobs in the IT Companies. Some of the top IT Companies are Accenture, IBM, Wipro, TCS, Infosys etc. There are obviously more but it would be good if one works in any of these top companies. 3. Still, now if you wish to make a career in the IT, then you can consider doing the following: a. BCA - This could be your second graduation and you may have to spend another 3 years acquiring some basic knowledge about IT. b. Coding Courses - This is like doing short term course that train you on how to code or create software. This can also help you get a started coding job thereby paving your way for going abroad. c. Online Courses - This is another way of gaining knowledge about IT and its streams. You can do online courses and get certified. Also note that this may not be really helpful in getting you jobs but if you wish to gain good knowledge, then online portals and Youtube van always help. Actually, the competition in the IT Industry is HUGE. There are thousands of people who are involved in this work and there are specialists who know in out of this. Therefore, being a hotel management graduate competing in this industry would be a lot of problem for you. I would NOT suggest/recommend that. Kindly refrain from diverting your specialised stream and instead try to build a career in the one that you have willingly studied. There would definitely be onsite opportunities for many of the best hotels chains in the world. |
