Hello friend,
Yes you are eligible for Indian airforce being a candidate of 12th passed, but here is the one most important point is that only Science stream students are eligible for indian airforce. To join in indian airforce you need to appear NDA(National Defence Academy) exam, which is conducted by the UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) two times in a year i.e NDA-I, NDA-II. NDA has three types of wings: Indian airforce, Indian navy, Indian army. Eligibility criteria: The candidate should be passed 12th standard from a recognised state board. For airforce and navy science stream(i.e PCM subjects) are must in your 12th standard. The candidate should be a citizen of india. The candidate must be physically fit. Age limits is 16 1/2 years to 19 years. Important point: Only unmarried male candidates are eligible. Girls are not eligible for NDA. Selection process; Written test, SSB interview, Personal interview. only the science stream candidates are eligible for the air force. NDA stands for National Defence Service. This exam conducted by the upsc twice in a year. Eligibility criteria: the candidate should complete the 12th standard from any recognized state board of india. The science stream candidates are eligible for the navy and air force. The final year appearing candidates are eligible. The age limit should be between 16.5 to 19 years. Only unmarried male candidates are eligible for this exam. Girls are not eligible.
