I m b.tech 3 year student in computer science..i want to join Indian Airforce or navy..is there any option for me for applying?

You can apply for CDS examination after copmpleting B.Tech degree

You can apply it in the final year of B.Tech also

You should have a minimum of 55% in the graduate level

Age limit

Navy 19-24 Years

Army 19-24 Years

Airforce !9-23 Years

For Indian Navy Or Indian Airforce, You May Appear In The CDS Exam. CDS Stand For Combined Defense Service Exam Conducted By The UPSC 2 Times In The Year.

Eligible Criteria :

1. Graduate From The Recognized University Only BE/B.Tech For The Navy And Airforce
2. Age Limit : 21 To 25 Years
3. Indian Citizen

Selection Process :

1. Written Test
2. Physical
3. Interview

condition for cds are
1. you should be indian
2. your age should be 19-24 years.
3. your aggregate mark should be >60%.
4. you should be un married.

If you are aspiring to Join Indian Air Force then you should have to apply for one of the following way.....

1). Through CDS

2). AFCAT

Eligibility and criteria for CDS/AFCAT:

>> A candidate must have completed their Graduation Degree in any discipline from Recognized Universities.....

>> Final year student nay also Applicable for It....

>> A candidate must have a nationality of INDIA....

>> Age Limit for AFCAT is 21 to 30 years....

Age Limit for CDS:

1. For Air Force Academy : 19-23 Years
2. For Indian Military Academy : 19-24 Years
3. For Naval Academy : 19-22 Years
4. For Officers’ Training Academy :19-25 Years

Exam pattern:

1. Prelim Exam

No , you are not eligible to apply for the Indian Air force OR Navy Examination . To apply for these examination , you must have a completed your degree course OR Pursing in the final year of degree course . So if you want to apply then you have to wait for the one year . After completing one year you can apply for the Indian Navy or Indian Air force examination .

You can Indian Air force OR Navy through the CDS Examination . CDS Stands for Combined Defence Service Examination and this examination is conducted by UPSC twice in a year . 2013 exam notification will be publish in the month of November or December in the official website of UPSC .

To apply for these examination , You must have a satisfy the following standards ::

-->> Education Qualification
-->> Age limits
-->> Physical Standards .

Nationality ::

~~ Applicant must be Citizen of India OR Subject of Bhutan OR Subject of Nepal .
Age limits and Education Qualification ::

~~ Navy :: Applicant must be completed their B.Sc degree with Physics and mathematics as subjects OR Engineering degree of a recognized University . Applicant must have a minimum 19 years and maximum 22 years .

~~ Air force :: Applicant must be completed their Bachelor's degree with Physics and mathematics as subjects at 12th examination OR Engineering degree of a recognized University . Applicant must have a minimum 19 years and maximum 23 years .

Those who are studying in the final year of degree course may also eligible to apply for this examination . But pre-final year of degree course may not eligible to apply for this examination .

Marital Status ::

I am k.nareshreddy completed my 10 2 in the year 2011 so am eligible for an air force academy

Through CDS entrance exam, one can join Indian Army or Navy after passing B.Tech. or Graduation with Science stream.

CDS - Combined Defence Service, the exam for which is conducted by UPSC twice every year as CDS-I and CDS-II for an entry in to Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer's Training Academy.

The eligible candidate aspiring to join Indian Air Force or Navy of CDS, must be an Indian unmarried Male having either appear for the final Graduation Degree with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/B.Tech. degree exam or pass from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 23 years for Air Force and from 19 to 22 years for Navy with good Physical and Mental health, can apply for CDS.

CDS can be applied through on line by paying requisite fee for the exam.

The selection is through written exam followed by Personal Interview along with Physical Fitness and Medical Test.
