i am in 11th and i am intrested in pilot course & want to know about entrance exam for pilot & where it is heald & also what is the cost for entrance exam please let me know where the entrance exam is held in mumbai .

After 12th you are not eligible for PILOT.

After 12th you can do B.E. or B.Tech. or B.Sc. (Engg.) in Aeronautical Engineering or Space Engineering because for PILOT minimum eligibility is graduation in engineering stream with 60 % marks from a regonised institute / University.

IAF Pilots invites all the eligible Indian candidates interested in SSC Course for Helicopter Pilots in Flying Branch.

Age Limit - 21 to 30 Years

Important Note: -
1. The candidates who wear glasses habitually or are colour / night blind are not eligible.
2. A candidate must not have failed in INS-B/PAB Test earlier.
3. A candidate must not be suspended in Flying Training earlier.

Well you have lots of career opportunities,you can write for NDA exam,in which you can opt for flying branch in the Indian air force.

You can write for CPL exam for commercial pilot license.

If you pass the NDA exam then you will be promoted in the rank of commissioned officer in flying branch. The age limit should be maximum 19 years which you have to write the exam after your 12th exam.

If you want to become a commercial pilot for that you need to procure a commercial pilot's licence also known as CPL, for which you have to join an institute which will give you the necessary training as well as conduct an exam and provide you with the CPL.

Theeoretical papers have to be cleared and medical tests passed. It usually takes 2 to 3 years before required flying hous and classroom learning are completed. Entry to the PPL course is through an entrance test conducted at certain centres. The test is based on subjects like English, General Knowledge, Maths, Physics and Chemistry. After class 12th you will have to study in aviation engineering for which you will have to face an entrance exam. this field is very costly but there are much job opportunities in this field.

you can also appear in engineering entrance conducted by ISRO after class 12th that is ISAT.the exam is little bit tough so ,study accordingly.

Entrance exam:

How to apply:
To get the SPL you should register at a flying club which is recognized by Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Government of India. Registration requires a medical certificate, security clearance and a bank guarantee.

The basic education qualification to become an airline pilot is to clear 10+2 (Senior Secondary School) with a pass in Physics and Maths. So 12th is mandatory.

To get into a commercial pilot's you have to get commercial pilot's license, which typically takes 1-2 years of training. After getting a commercial pilot's license, a job with an airline begins as a trainee co-pilot and after a transition training of 6 to 8 months, one starts flying on line as a co-pilot.

It requires a basic aptitude (does not mean to be good in mathematics and science, but it does require one to have reasonably basic numerical abilities) apart from good reasoning and communication skills.

How to become a Pilot.

However, lets discuss the possible and easiest way for reaching there.
Basically candidate have to go through various stages before acquiring Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) mandatory for becoming pilot.
A 3 stage process
Student Pilot License (SPL): It is an exam conducted by most of flying clubs. It cobers theoretical papers on subjects like- Air Regulations, Air Navigation etc. (Pilot Aptitude Test).
Eligibility: Candidate must be at least 16 years of age and must have passed 10th. A medical certificate of fitness, security clearance and a bank guarantee if Rs. 10,000/- are required.
Private Pilot License (PPL): After acquiring SPL students will proceed towards PPL for the intial flying training. A Teacher/Instructor will be there to teach you the Practical aspects of flying a Aircraft.
Eligibility: 10+2 and Meidcal fitness certificate from AFCME or IAM.
Commercial Pilot License (CPL): A student can get his/her CPL after completing flying training of about 129 hours. to complete 250 hours of flying.
Eligibility: 12th pass with at least 60% aggregate and must also have studied Mathematics and Physics, means science students. Candidate must also have PPL with at least flying experience of 3 years. Age should be 18-30 years and a Medical Clearance must be obtained from AFCME or IAM.
Selection (Written Exam): A test in subjects Air Navigation, Air Meteorology, Air regulation, Technical and Planing. These exams are conducted 6 times in a year. At least of flying experience of 250 hours of which (150 hours of SOLO, 25 hours of Cross Country, 10 hours of Instrument flying and 5 hours of night flying) is also required .
After a CPL one can build up more flying hours, Login 750 hours of flying time, clear the other requisite papers and acquire a Senior Commercial Pilot License.
PPL (Avionics) holders generally specialize in Helichopter flying, and they get paid in hour basis. However salary is lower then Aircraft flyers.
SPL, is nothing but 1st step towards career in Aviation as a Pilot.
