Hi dear
This is a question we have to listen alot these days..

Well
First of all you should know your Goal

What you want to be and what you are preparing for

Secondly, now for the management...After setting your goal you have to distribute time among various subjects ( I am talking about PCM here )

Well you might have heard this but it's a long term stratergy.

You may be confused as school may be teaching physical and in coaching you will be sudying organic.

I know how tough it becomes ...but don't worry everything would be sort out.

Just make a TIME TABLE ( Don't be lazy or act smartly and say You don't need a time table because everyone needs it ...Not only Btech or MTech students but Scientists too)

So Now how to make the Time Table

Listen Your main objective is to score marks specially in three sujects PCM

Now you can't overlook one...You have to study three of them simultaneously .

You have to distribute time and practice the problems..

First you have to study NCERT ( Highly recommended)

I would advice you to study both (whatever subjects taught in school and coaching both)

Now here comes the practise time ( If you want you can ignore what school teaches )

In the practise these are the books highly recommended

Physics- NCERT and then Arihant ( Do 10-15 ques daily)
Chemistry- NCERT and then Arihant (10-15 ques)
Maths- (Toughest subject Learn to manage Time)
NCERT , Quicker Maths By M.Tyra and then Arihant (20-25 ques daily)

Now as you reach the end of DEC you should be thorough with your NCERT and now would practise Arihant's 40 days

Just keep practising and you will make it through..!!

Believe in yourself
and remember one thing..
you are not the first one on earth to study Science like this and you are not the last one too

Final Advice :-
Maintain all subjects and practice them simultaneously

All the best..!!

Thumbs up Re: How to manage between school and coaching time for IIT preparation?

This is truly so difficult to manage NCERT and IIT study both.
At first make a daily ruten for your home study. From which you can understand the time manegmet combination.
Here I give a time table, which subject how many you reads at home-
Math- 3 hours, practice only.
Physics & Chemistry- 1:30 hours (each subject).
Biology- 1 hour daily.
Try to maintain this table.
When read one chapter, you must read deeply this for your entrance exam. Read every chapter carefully, than there will no problem on NCERT and IIT.

Best of luck.

Just don't be lazy and try to make best use of available time. You will feel very difficult to sacrifice everything and study but later you will develop a habit and you will find that you
are no more lazy and have become strong in your concepts. The basic reason is that we all complain about the lack of time but we don't think of the time we have already wasted. Try to overcome this habit and you will find yourself very near to success.

Just make a routine of studying daily at least 6 hrs.this is possible only when you sacrifise ur facebook account and cut off Aur TV connection
.just make a time table of practising maths at least 3hrs and at least three hrsfor both physics and chem......
Keep 1game in ur PC to refresh urself. Twice in a week for 15minutes......

It is very common problem that is faced by many students now a days.
You should study at least 1and half hr per subject for your coaching and should practice as much as questions as you can.
Side by side you should not neglect your school studies.
You should give at least 2hrs daily for your school syllabus.
Once you complete with school syllabus you can easily focus on your coaching preparation and do well in IIT exam.

I am a class 1th ISC board student. I have joined FIITJEE classes for IIT tuitions but after studying there for 5-6 months I had my half-yearly examinations. Unfortunately, i failed in two of my subjects. The problem with me is that I am highly confused between the coaching syllabus and the school syllabus. As I could not cope up with the teaching of FIITJEE, I was unable to understand the basic concepts. Now-a-days I' ve stopped going to FIITJEE in order to study for my school syllabus. I have also hired a tutor for maths. I am planning to go to the FIITJEE classes in class 12th. Is this the right decision? Please guide me.
