MBBS stands for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery course. The admission in MBBS and BDS course is done on basis of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. NEET is conducted by CBSE every year for admission in MBBS and BDS courses.

The academic qualification required to apply for this examination is that candidate must have passed or appearing for board examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Minimum of 50% marks in 12th is required to apply for this exam.

NEET is of 720 marks and consists of 180 questions. You should aim to score more than 550 marks to have better chance of admission in good medical colleges of India.

Any college will not be decided on the basis of 12th percentage. To get admission in any of the good colleges or any government college you have to clear entrance examination. But to be eligible for NEET entrance examination you must have to score more than 60% aggregate in 12th board.
