i am doing BBA final year. i want to do mba in BIM trichy i have written CAT entrance exam my que is how many % i want to get in CAT for admission in trichy

Dear Friend

To get admission in BIM Tirchy, then you have to score more than 90% marks in your CAT entrance exams if you are belong to general candidates.

The cutt-off for general candidates will always go high, So you have to work hard and scored more than 90 to 95% marks in CAT exams.

So, the cutt - off of BIM Tirchy are as follows-

For general Candidates - 95+

BC Candidates - 73+

For schedule Caste - 60+

and for ST Candidates - 51+


So, please prepare yourself according to this given Cutt-offs.

-->Cut-Offs (unofficial):
Admission-Category wise Cut-Off Percentile scores in the CAT -
OC 95; BC 75; MBC 70; SC 70; ST 70

-->The application form can be obtained from the official website: http://www.bim.edu or can be obtained via draft or post for 1400/-Rs.
For 2009-2011 Admissions, BIM accepts CAT 2008 scores only.

Note, dear student, that the CAT awards percentile scores, which means that if you have scored, say 90 percentile, then this means that 90% of the total number of students have scored marks less than you have. So the numbers mentioned here by other honorable members are percentile scores, not percentages.

cut off is 90 + but if u see the people profile studying there they all have 95 + percentile

LBSIMS 86+
NIRMA 90+
IMDR 85+
IMT 90+
IMI 86+

these were the cut offs....

so you can have idea from them.....

Well it is not so easy to clear the CAT exam
But if you really want to take admission in BIM Trichy then following markk are required.

so marks are given below you can prepare for cat according to your lebel:-

BC Candidates - 73+

BIM Trichy has a pretty high cutoff.

Around 95%. That is, if you are a general candidate.

CAT is a very difficult exam, so prepare yourself well,esp for the new pattern!

Giving you some records from last years closing percentile in each category:

General: 95+
OC - 94.62
BC - 75+
MBC - 60+
SC - 50+
ST - 50+

From this you can conclude what can be the new benchmarks,you can expect a rise of at least 2-3 percentile for the new one.
