Re: Minimum percentage of marks required in Graduation for CAT?
yes ofcourse graduation percentage matters in cat exam. You should have procured atleast 50% in your graduation to sit in cat exam. But after the exam it does not have any importance. All that matters is your mba, in which you can get admission through cat only, and to qualify you have to secure 50% in graduation. So, ultimately graduation percentage matters.

Re: Minimum percentage of marks required in Graduation for CAT?
CAT Exam Details:-
Full form of CAT is Common Admission Test. It is one of the most toughest MBA Entrance Exam to crack and undoubtedly the most popular of all as well as it is conducted by the IIM's. Although this score is accepted in any other University but several top private autonomous B-Schools too just like IIM accepts this score. To sit for the CAT exam you need to complete your graduation first in any discipline from a recognized university with not less than 50% of marks in aggregate. There is percentage relaxation for the reserved category candidates. For SC or ST candidates the percentage to secure at graduation level is 45% of marks. Even final year students about to sit for the final year exam or awaiting the result of the final year exam can also give this exam. Age is not a factor here. Soon after graduation you can sit for it and there is no restriction on the number of permissible attempts too. This year the notifications for the exam will be formally published in the website of CAT in July. So keep an eye on the website to get the recent information. Selection Process mainly includes:- 1) Written Exam 2) Group Discussion and 3) Personal Interview. Based on the percentile you secure in the CAT exam you will be called then for the next round of selection. The exam is basically an online test which will be filled with multiple-choice questions. Before the start of the exam you will get 15 minutes to go through the paper. The total duration of the exam is two hours and 30 minutes. There will be two sections to answer, mainly, Quantitative Ability & Date Interpretation and Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning. You will get roughly 70 minutes for each section. From each section 30 questions will be asked. Each section will have an on-screen countdown timer. Once the timer ends the second section will appear in your screen and you will not be allowed to move back to the previous section. Hope this helps :-> :-> |
