--You need to be higher secondary passed out or its equivalent from a recognized school or institution. You need to secure minimum 60% of marks in aggregate at 10+2 level. --There is percentage relaxation for the reserved category candidates. For the OBC Candidates it is 50% in aggregate and for SC/ST Candidates it is 45% of marks in aggregate --Your age should not be less than 18 years. For general category candidates the upper age limit for giving this exam is 27 years. For reserved category candidates there is age relaxation. --You need to know the local language of the State of the postal circle in question to avoid any sort of communication problem with the locals. --It will prove to be beneficial even if you have studied hindi at matriculation level or above and therefore you are quite well versed in this language. Exam Pattern At A Glance:- There are two tests the candidates needs to sit for:- 1. Written Examination 2. Comptuer Test/Typing Test ## The written examination comprises of questions from four sections and from each section 25 questions will be asked. Same number of marks have been allotted for each section. Mainly objective questions will be asked and there is no negative marking as such. Total time limit available for the exam is 2.5 hours. ## The duration of the computer test is 30 minutes. For the first 15 minutes you will be asked to write a passage in 15 minutes. There is a certain speed one needs to maintain while typing the passage. The next 15 minutes is allotted for a data entry test which comprises of figures and data. ## For general category candidates the cost of the application form is Rs. 200 and it will be available in the head post offices and other post offices in the circle. Postal Assistant Exam Eligibility: Candidate should be Citizen of India. You should complete the 12th standard from recognized University. You need min percentage is 50% in 12th standard. And 5% marks relaxation for the SC\ST candidates. Your age limit should be between 18 to 27 years. Eligibility criteria:- The applicant should be complete 12th standard with atleast 60% of marks from a recognised university or board. Applicant must be an Indian origin. The age limits are 18 years to 27 years, 3years relaxation for OBC candidates, 5years relaxation for SC/ST candidates. Best books for exam:- Best of luck. |
