Hi,

Preparing for a bank exam is now the buzz word. First of all you should be well aware of the topics which are going to be there in the bank exam. Usually they consist of aptitude, verbal and logical reasoning and also a numericals. All you need to do is to practice from the beginning. As you have not mentioned which bank you are applying for, I cannot fully tell you what exactly the pattern would be.

You can download previous year question papers and you can prepare on them to get a hang of what will be there in the paper.

Speed is what it matters questions will be easy to crack. Find below some papers which i have for the bank exam.

First of all the better understanding of the syllabus of the exam and according to the syllabus fix your target.
For Basics maths and reasoning ability questions refer the book which is belongs to author R.S Agrawal and previous year question papers and also follow Pratiyogita Darpan magazine.

For General awareness you have to refer daily newspaper and Manorama year book and surf internet.

Write mock test every month to check your ability, accuracy and speed.

Thanks

You basically need to begin at the conceptual level. You need to note down the areas that that will be part of the test. There will be areas like Numerical, Verbal and Reasoning Ability. Also there will be a section on General Knowledge. It is important to have good reading to clear this part. You should also solve various bank tests.

Bank exams invariably consist of the following
1.Aptitude sections(maths/IQ)
2.Verbal ability sections(English -usage comprehension grammar)
3.General Knowledge.

For maths section you need to have good command over 10th standard mathematics.

And Practice a lot to develop a lot of speed and accuracy.

R.S.Aggarwala Books for aptitude are all that is needed.

In addition you also need to read magazines like Chronicle pratiyogita darpan etc.
for Gk and Previous papers.

Wren and martin grammar book is a must for grammar preparation.

It would benefit you if you referred to CAT material and solved upto level 2 only.

Further the last thing you would need to do is to solve as many mock tests within limited time as possible

this would develop speed as well as accuracy as it would allow you to assess

your weakness and eliminate them.

For PI you need to practice well in mock interviews and mock panels.. coaching centres arrange such interviews for you.

The bank's exam pattern consists of 4 or 5 topics. It differs from bank to bank.

but they are mainly:

reasoning ability

numerical ability

clerical aptitude test

computer basics

general English

you should start the preparation for the exam 3 to 4 months before...

the best way to prepare for the exam is to buy one or two books from the market, the name for which is given below, and start practicing.

the more you practice the more you will be able to complete the paper in that limited time which is very short to solve all the questions.

so practice is everything to prepare for bank's exam.

the books which you can follow to prepare are given below(buy one or two):

Upkar`s SBI Clerical Cadre Recruitment Exam

Ramesh`s Bank Clerical Exam(Solved Papers)

Upkar`s SBI PO Examination (Solved Papers)

Ramesh`s Bank PO. Previous year Solved Papers

Test of Reasoning/Reasoning Ability by R.S.Agarwal (Verbal & Non-verbal)

Quantitative Aptitude by R.S.Agarwal

Guides by Kiran publications.

all the best.

hello friend...

You can enhance your speed in bank by following simple two steps...

1) Spending some valuable time daily for 3-4 hrs for working out the aptitude and bank related questions...

2) Knowing the pattern of the bank exam and executing it... Cause when you take aptitude questions in common there are 1000 of it but when you know the pattern of the bank exam it comes short to some 100 questions so where in you can practice well those 100 type of questions and do well in the exam....

hope the info. helps.....

All the best...

follow these steps:

If you are determined for a job in bank, preparations for exams must be started well in advance.

If you are determined for a job in bank, preparations for exams must be started well in advance.

Try to work out the questions atleast thrice, which will boost your confidence level to answer.

Having decided to appear for exams of a specific bank, research about the bank, management, core business areas, branches, mission, achievements and recognitions is necessary.

Apart from preparing specifically for bank exams, be attentive about up-to-date happenings by reading newspapers.

Be bold in expressing your views, if given a chance –since you could be appointed the next manager!

Dear friend

All BANK PO exams are consists of following sections:-
1.Logical and Reasoning ability
2.Quantitative aptitude
3.General awareness
4.English
5.Some of the PO exam also consist Computer knowledge questions.

So to crack the BANK PO you have to be strong in all 5 parts.Because evry section has cutoff. You have to clear that cutoff for further process like interview and GD etc.
Try to solve as many as Questions with shorcut becuase in all BANK PO exams only tricky questions are asked and you have to understand the trick to solve them easily with in few times only than you can crack the exam.

In every exam there are around 200 to 300 questions. You wil get only 3 hours for these many questions.

For General awerness you have to read daily english newspapers.Current events related to banks note down that in your copy.
