Re: How to prepare for GATE exam? I'm in 3rd year B.Tech(Computer science)
You can attain good score in the GATE exam if you are starting your preparations for the exam from the 3rd year of graduation itself. You can join some reputed coaching institutes. You can get specialized training in attending these exams. As part of preparation, refer previous year question papers and practice accordingly. You should allot equal time for each subject areas in the exam. You should be thorough with the basic technical subjects. Time management is also an important skill while attending this examCandidates should really work hard on optimum time mangement. You should attend the Mock tests which will help you to get a better idea regarding the exam.

GATE- GRADUATE APTITUDE TEST IN ENGINEERING is conducted by IIT for admission to M.Tech. courses in IITs/NITs/BITS etc.
GATE is very tough and competitive, hence to crack this test one has to start preparation and do hard work at least two years before sitting in the examination. Now you are in your 3rd year of B.Tech. studies,so it is well and good to start preparation seriously for GATE along with your regular studies. Most of the questions are from 3rd and 4th year of your B.Tech. course hence accordingly you should prepare for GATE. You must give certain fixed time regularly in solving previous year's questions. You should attend mock tests in connection to GATE as conducted by some specific website. |
