Syllabus is based on the subject you have selected for attending GATE. Preparation can be done according to GATE syllabus. Certain topics like engineering mathematics will be common. Other sections can be selected according to your subject area of specialization. GATE usually comprise technical topics based on B.Tech syllabus.
