hi,

ashi...As you are from Btech branch...you can have the edge over others, go for some global certification courses which help you a lot in the long run..

<<GLOBAL CERTIFICATION COURSES>>

You can try:

CCNA and Networking course from CISCO certification.

microsoft dotnet courses like MCHP.

JAVA, J2SE, J2ME, J2EE, MYSQL, PHP, red hat linux etc..

I assure you doing such courses is potently useful and you can put the logo in your C.V. also.

thank you...

to secure you career in IT field you must have to struggle every time. you have to make you suitable for continuous changing environment. you must be flexible must be efficient. these are the quality you should have.

but after completion of you study you have get a job in IT field in a good company. for that you have to be prepare first.

i will suggest you now you should only concentrate on job recruitment. it's better if you get job from campus recruitment process other wise you have to struggle a lot to get a job. for maximum types of IT recruitment process the different steps are
1.Aptitude Test
2.Technical Interview
3.HR Interview

as the first step is aptitude test so you must be prepare for that very well. because if you are unable to clear aptitude test then at the starting you will be eliminated from the recruitment process. to be strong in aptitude practice aptitude a lot and also solve previous years aptitude papers of different company.

for interview improve your communication skill. improve your technical skill. try to learn so many things about interview. try to give demo interview with your teacher.

after getting job in a good company it does not ensure that your career is secure in IT field. you must have to complete your training very well. you must have to build up practical knowledge on your field of work. after few years experience you may think that your career is secure in IT field although there is a chance of insecurity if you performance started to decrease.

best of luck.

Hi Ashi, don't worry so much, you can easily secure your career being an B.Tech in IT.

There are the maximum number of jobs in IT sector only, so need to worry.

In your campus placement there will be 3 stages- Aptitude Test,Technical Interview,HR Interview.....so prepare well for it. Once you are placed, your life is secure.

Best of luck. Feel free to ask if doubts remain.

If you are interested in developing the code for any real time problems then you will move heigher position than you expected.............other wise after completion of b.tech seriously prepare for gate or g.r.e and you will get a chance to enter into the field you are interested...doing job in another field that you are not interested is waste less...all the best

dear friend,
You are from IT stream and now you are in final year.. So, my friend it is the prime time to take preparation for the campus placement..
Now IT market is at booming stage.. Every IT company is hiring large number of students..
so, to get a job you have to work hard..
You have to do lots of practice of aptitude questions. try solve aptitude questions faster..
beside this you have to increase your soft skills... to crack the interview...
as you are from IT , so if you get a job during your campus drive then go for it.. but if you don't get a job then go for MBA.. it will help you a lot..
after completion of your MBA you can get a high salary job...

So, don't get nervous , just go for it..

All the best..

Today the world is totally dependent on computers....indirectly it depends on IT.

IT promotes computing technology, covering everything from installing applications to developing databases.

Benefits of Information Technology:

1) Direct positive impact on national income.

2) Biggest employment generator.

3) Development of industries such as transportation, real estate and catering.

4) Direct tax collections owing to the rising class of youthful consumers with high disposable incomes.

5) Sharing information and ending linguistic barriers across the continents has led to the collapse of geographic boundaries and made the world a global village.

6) Service oriented architecture.

So I must tell that your career is completely secure....

Focus on the basic of every subjects....
Sit for interviews....be confident and determined to crack those interviews...
And got placed in the large companies of India...

The areas where a IT engineer get placements are:

1. Quality management and standards,
2. Education and training,
3. Research,
4. Software testing,
5. Database design, configuration and change management,
6. Systems development,
7. Web design.

Hi friend,

IT companies are now growing in good stage only. You don't need to worry about your career also. If you are feared about your career make your self updated every day. When you think the programming language you know is only enough for you there your growth in career stops. So just study about the latest programming languages all time.

Since, you are in final year try to learn as many programming languages as you can and keep some concentration in back end programming, database techniques.......

your career is secure in the IT company only the IT has very less scope in the govt sector so you should make you % more then 65 % throughout for getting campus or off campus placements like
TCS
WIPRO
ACCENTURE
COGNIZENT
INFOSYS
IBM
ans many more

As a student of IT you can secure your carrier if you have some good grips on the computer languages like C,C++,JAVA,.NET,PHP .Because companies like TCS,Wipro ,IBM etc asks too many questions in technical interview round from those languages .
Other than that If you have good concept on Networking field then there are so many companies you can join like - HCL,Orange etc and the banks .

One thing keep in mind that if you have genuine skill then your job is always secured .

Thank you

Some of the high yielding jobs are software.you need to have dome bachelors degree with high marks like first class , many mncs like tcs, intel,amd.. Will recruit you and pay minimum salary of 3 to 4 lakhs per annum.also many of the reputed electronics companies like toshiba, will pay high salary.

You try many of govt. Exams like drdo, bsnl, bel, isro. Here along with good salary other good facilities like home, car, internet other needed facilities ae given.also try to write upsc, kpsc exams , they are also high salary jobs.you can check in upsc.gov.in and kpsc.kar.ic.in

i also suggest you to write the top exam of country ias.its tough but if you make through hen you will be in huge demand, apart from money loads of respect and you can uplift yourself and country.

Hi Friend,

doing B.Tech in IT is a good career option.
with this you can get many oppurtunities in IT sector.
if you have good programming knowledge and have grip in your IT subjects then you can easily get a job in MNC's.
along with the subject knowledge you should also be good at quantitative aptitude and should have good communication skills.
maintain an aggrigate above 65%.
if you are interested then you can also do some certifications like OCA, java certifications, CCNA etc
if you do certification then it will be an added benifit for your career.

All the best.
