you simply go to "edit" option and in the "Fathers column" change the spelling & save your changes.

Probably there will be no problem...as you will not have your prents name printed on your admit card...while the verification of documents during counselling...you will also not have any problem...because they wil check your Board certificates not your admit cards...So relax...

sir i have done a mistake in sending gate application form.......actually there is two forms one is gate iit madras form and another one is candidate form.......we have to send the iit madras form in the post,but i send the candidate form in the place of gate iit madras form............this is my fault.......please send me replay..........what willi do for getting my hallticket?

i wrote wrong code on the envelope form..GATE CODE....i ve written 18 for ECE...but in brochure they ve given something else.....
and even i didnt fold the application form on the line which was there on the form....is my form will be accepted and do i get my admit card..???pls someone answer me correctly....

There is no need to worry if you have made a mistake in GATE form.

All the details can be changed you just need to notify the head office, or the IIT branch and send the proof accordingly... then it will be changed.

to rectification of spelling mistakes in GATE Online Application Form,
you have to visit near your gate office.

you have to visit near your gate office as soon as possiable.

it will not create so much problem. i think you should not worry about it.

but if you want to correct it call to the IIT Zonal office where you have sent your application form. they will suggest how to correct it. just you have to send an email to their specified address with some details. so contact with them you will get the contact number from information brochure.

As you can't modifies the any details after making payment for filling the online form of GATE. so you need to write a request letter to the Councillor of the GATE conducted by IIT madras. You have to send the request letter along with original certificates. They will modify the correction of your spelling mistake in fathers name.
Don't get worried about it,its just a formality...your form will be accepted.

If you registered your application form with wrong father's name(after confirmation) then there is no way to change it, because it is fixed that you will use your ID (login account) only to get print of softcopy. You can not change the information entered in your online application account.
However I dont think so that there is any problem arise with your father's name. They(GATE authority) want only your name to be written correctly there(as in your 10th class) not father's name. So no need to take tension. And no need to get this mistake improvize(which even cant be done).

There is no need of worry as there is spelling mistake of your father's name. If you have not submitted the bank challan corresponding to the applied application form then you can again fill new online application form online and there you can rectify your father's name.But if you have submitted your bank challan then you can not rectify yours father's name.But there is also no need of worry,when you will get chance to take admission in MTech through GATE then there you will get chance to rectify your father's name.There you have to submit one affidavit to the authority and he would rectify your father's name at the time of admission.

There will be no major issue as to attend the exam. You parents name will not be printed in the admit card. If you get through the exam and to the interview process, then your board certificate will be verified not the admit card.
