Dear friend,

BHEL(Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd) is one of the top most Govt sector's exams.
For BHEL exam you should have an Engineering Degree in Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Telecommunication, Communication, Telecommunication, Mechanical, Computer Science, Computer Science and Engineering/ Civil Engineering/ Chemical Engineering disciplines .

Generally there is no prescription for the syllabus
The selection process of BHEL for a written test, followed by a personal interview.

Written Exam Pattern :-

Exam consists of 240 objective questions, each of 1 mark , to be answered in 2-n-half hours. For each wrong answer 0.2 marks will be deducted.

There are two sections in BHEL written test :-

1) Aptitude Test :-
Consists of Quantitative Aptitude,Reasoning Ability,Logical Thinking,English usage & General Awareness.
2) Technical Test :
Consists of two parts :-
General engineering questions &
questions specific to your engineering discipline.

Syllabus:
The syllabus is as like as GATE syllabus.

Some Recommended Books:
1:Galgotia by Prem R Chanda
2:Oswall chapter wise solution
3:Ramesh GATE preparation by RPH Editotials etc.....

Good luck.

dear friend,

As you a student of ECE then BHEL will be better career option for you.

The syllabus for BHEL is same as the syllabus of JTO.

& the selection procedure is first you have o face written test then interview.

If you have valid & good GATE score then you will get benefit at the time of interview.

good luck.

hello friend

see, BHEL exam syllabus for engineer trainee syllabus is equivalent to gate syllabus.so it will be better to take gate syllabus as a BHEL exam syllabus for engineer trainee.

you can get Gate syllabus in the given below sites

1.www.gateforum.com.

2.www.onestopgate.com.

you can also follow the given below books

1.m.hunda.

2.rajput.

3.gk publication.

4.made eassy publication.

etc.

all the best...............

that is not the case. question may come from everywhere from the syllabus. i am providing a model question for electronics student you may go through it. the syllabus is the basic syllabus of your course.

About the Written Test
1. Written test will consists of 150 multiple choice objective type questions.Test is designed to assess the candidate's Professional ( Technical) Knowledge of the chosen Engineering Discipline and Higher Aptitude covering arear like Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, Logical thinking, English usage, General Awareness etc.
1. Your performance in this written test will determine possibility of further considerations of your candidature.
3. There is a specific time limit for answering each part. Candidate will have to answer 150 questions in 2 hours .
4. For each question, a choice of few alternative answers will be given, out of which only one alternative is correct. You have to choose the alternative, you think to be correct and indicate your choice on the answer sheet.
5. Your admission to this Test is, however, provisional. The candidates are advised to ensure while applying that they fulfill the eligibility criteria and other requirements and that the particulars furnished by them are correct in all respects for the post applied for. Mere appearance at the Test does not entail you to make any claim for the post. You will be treated as debarred ab-initio in case you do not fulfill the essential eligibility criteria.
6. The Answer Sheet is a special OMR (Optical Mark Reader) sheet.
7. Every question will carry 1 mark. Negative marking to the extent of 0.2 marks per wrong answer will be there.
8. a) For answering the Test questions, there will be CIRCLES in the Answer Sheet. The chosen answer is to be indicated by darkening (encoding) one of the CIRCLE fully. Any other method of answering will be taken as incorrect answer.
For Example, If 10x+6=106, then 15X -10 will be
. (1) 100 (2)140 (3)110 (4)80 (5) None of the above

Since correct answer is option (2), the CIRCLE 2 will have to be darkened (encoded) to fill the space completely like this:

The following are not correct methods of marking:

d) Change / Cutting / Overwriting / Erasing of CIRCLES is NOT permitted.
c) Make marks only in the CIRCLES provided. Please do not make any stray marks on the answer sheet. This will be penalised.
d) Rough work must not be done on the Answer sheet. This will be penalised. You can use the Test Booklet for this purpose.
