TIPS TO CRACK BHEL EXAM

The recruitment of BHEL consists of two major rounds which are as follows...


-> Written Test.

-> Final Interview.


-> The written Test consists of 240 questions with multiple choice which as questions from the following topics covered..


-> Technical Engineering.

-> Basic Engineering.

-> Verbal Ability.

-> Quantitative Aptitude.


-> There is section wise marks for the written test, hence the candidate must clear each section with the average mark, so prepare for each topic clearly..

-> The Technical Engineering section will consists of the questions which are covered in your engineering studies depending upon your field.

-> So prepare your engineering course subject well, if you have deep knowledge in your subjects then you can easily clear this section.

-> There is negative marking in the exam, 1.5 marks will be reduced for every wrong answer. So attend the questions which you are sure with the answer.

-> The Basic engineering section will consists of the questions from your higher secondary i.e Physics, Chemistry and Maths subject.

-> The verbal ability section consists of questions of logical ability and basic knowledge of English.

-> The Aptitude question consists of some basic aptitude maths questions.

-> So prepare well for each section before the exam.. Go through the previous year papers of BHEL to know the pattern and questions type followed in the exam..

-> I have attached some of the previous year model papers of BHEL - Mechanical in this post.. just go through the papers to find the pattern of the exam...

>> there is no secret matra to crack any exam whatsoever. The universal formula is hardwork, dedication and commitment. You may try following-
>>>Analyse past year papers of related exam,
Examine the syllabus, pattern etc.,
>>>Try few mock tests to analyze your stregth and weaknesses,
Work on your weaknesses to obtain a healthy and balanced score.


As BHEL exam carries negative marking system, you need to keep these points in mind while attempting the paper -
1. First of all attempt only those questions about which you are 100% sure.
2. Keep marking those kind of questions which you know but have some confusion in mind.
3. You can also mark those questions (use different sign for different categories) which are 50-50 in your mind.
4. After attempting the 1st category, you need to check how much questions you could attempt.
5. If it comes out to be less than 60-70% then you should go for the 2nd category questions.
6. If the 1st category questions are less than average(may be 40-50%) then you should try 3rd category questions with logical guessing.

Weightage in Marking is given below:

Technical – 70% of your scoring
Quantitative Aptitude – 30% of your scoring.
So our preparation time allotment is also to be in the same proportion.

To crack the Exam:

• Analyse past year papers of related exam,
• Examine the syllabus, pattern etc.,
• Try few mock tests to analyze your stregth and weaknesses,
• Work on your weaknesses to obtain a healthy and balanced score.
