Re: How and where to prepare for IPS entrance exam?
As you told that you are a 12th passed candidate and aware still that what you want to do in future is very good because if you start preparation now you will get the success much easier and early in life.
I.P.S. which is organized by the U.P.S.C. ( Union Public Service Commission) for this the candidate must be a graduate from any recognized University, So you have to appear first in any graduate degree program and also with the graduation you can do the preparations of I.P.S. as you can make grip on a most interesting subject and can select that as your main subject in the I.P.S. exam. For better preparation you have to regularly read the magazines that are related to Civil service exam and there articles that are posted for you like (Pratiyogita darpan), Competition Success. should practice to solve the last ten years question papers of the entrance exam and check that what is the matter changing every year and what can be your strength in the exam. Regularly read the best magazines as- Career 360, Rojgar samachar,Upkar publication and UPSC books corner. There is no special coaching is required for the preparation if you perfectly prepare yourself from now but if you want Chanakya institute of I.A.S. gives the best coaching classes at Chandigarh and Delhi Region you can attend that classes. Main eligibility criteria is as given below. >> Candidate should be an Indian citizen. >> Candidate should be Graduate from any stream. >> Should be physically fit. >> Age limit is 21-32 Years. Physical test or Medical 4. Interview NOTE - I.P.S. is not a separate exam conducted to select specially the I.P.S. officers but all are selected by I.A.S. because top ranker are appointed I.A.S. and lower go for I.P.S. Re: How and where to prepare for IPS entrance exam?
IPS(Indian Police Services) recruits through IAS exam only. Based on your score you will be alloted the departmenst i.e. Indian Administrative services or Police services or Forest services.
But you need to understand that the basic eligibilty criteria is graduation. Since you are still in your intermediate so you won't be able to appear for the examination. So, the advise is to choose an appropriate graduation course for yourself and then after completing it, prepare for the IAS exam and then strike for IPS. For now there are certain things which you need to focus on. These are- 1) Read newspaper everyday. Subscribe to "THE HINDU". No other newspaper. 2) But, GEOGRAPHY, HISTORY, POLITY needs to be given time. Start taking time for this right away. Go through NCERT. Make a goal to read at least half chapter each day. Since you have at least 4 years so you have a lot of time. 4) In the final year of your graduation, i will recommend you to join some coaching class. Its not that you will gain knowledge there. But your knowledge will be brushed up and also the competitive surroundings will accelerate your chances to clear the exam. 5) For now, focus on Newspaper and general knowledge. Stay connected to world and also do focus on your technical(if any) subjects. Those will also fetch you mark |
