How to work as teacher after finishing MSc degree


i finished my m.sc degree.. i wants to work as teacher or else lecturer in govt colleges.. if it's possible

You need to qualify certain exams conducted at national level to become a teacher. CTET qualification is essential to apply for the position of CBSE teacher. B.Ed is also required. NET qualification is mandatory to become a government lecturer. For attending NET, master’s degree with a minimum of 55% marks is necessary.

For working as a Government Teacher,you will have to appear in TET(Teacher Eligibility Test) Exam.

Details for TET(Teacher Eligibility Test) Exam

Qualifying Degree :-
-->>You should have a B.ED(Bachelor of Education) Degree from recognized university.
-->>Your B.ED Degree course duration should be of at least 1 or 2 years.

Marks :-
-->>Your minimum marks in M.SC Should be 60%.
-->>Your minimum marks in B.ED Should be 55%.

Age :-
-->>Your age should be between 21 years to 35 years.

Exam Pattern :-
-->>There will be 2 sets of questions.
-->>Each set will contain 150 questions.
-->>Each set will be 1 hour and 50 minutes.

Syllabus :-

PAPER I
  • Child Development and Pedagogy.
  • English Language.
  • Mathematics.
  • Environmental studies.
PAPER II
  • Child Development and Pedagogy Group II.
  • English Comprehension.
  • Social science.
  • Science.

Since you have completed post graduation, lectureship would be far better option. The salary of lecturer is more than of a teacher. Besides for teaching job you will require Bachelor of Education degree as well.

To become lecturer you will have to appear for the National Eligibility Test, which is conducted by the University Grants Commission for lectureship and Junior Research Fellowship in central government colleges.

This exam is conducted in June and December. The notification is issued couple of months in advance. The notification will give you all the information related to applying for the National Eligibility Test. You should read is properly to apply. The application form has to be submit online.


Eligibility

1. If you wish to appear then ensure you have post graduation degree.

2. Minimum of 55 percent marks are required to be eligible.

3. SC/ST are eligible with 50 percent or more marks in post graduation.

4. The final year candidates are also welcomed to apply.

5. Final year students will be disqualified if failed to submit degree in 2 years.

6. Select subject for NET related to your PG course.

7. No limit on attempts.

8. Age limit is 28 years if appearing for JRF.

9. There is no upper age limit for lectureship aspirants.
