There is no age limit or no fixed number of attempts to appear for GATE examination.
So, if you won't be eligible to score a better score/rank in examination and not able to make it to better institute for higher studies then you can appear for examination next year. The examination is conducted by IIT or IISc every year. |

Re: If I don't get good marks in GATE 2017, shall I re-appear for 2018?
Yes, you can apply for GATE 2018 exam. GATE stands for 'Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering'. You can apply for direct interview in so many public sector undertakings after cracking the GATE exam. So, my suggestion to you is that you should try to score more than 605 in GATE exam. You can also go for higher education after clearing GATE exam. You can apply for admission in IIT's or NIT's after scoring good marks in GATE exam. If you got selected in IIT or NIT's for higher education, then you can avail the scholarship offered by MHRD.

You are in the final year of BE degree and preparing for upcoming GATE exam. You are interested to know whether you can apply of this exam in 2018 or not. Yes, definitely you can appear GATE exam in next year too.
Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a national level exam which is conducted every year. There is neither any age limit nor restriction in number of attempts in taking this exam. The only thing is that you must fulfill the educational qualification criteria. **So there is no need to worry about this. In my opinion, at this time you have to prepare well for GATE 2017 exam which is about to be conducted in the month of February 2017. You have to strong all your basic concepts, go through previous year papers, solve mock test etc to nourish your preparation. |
