IAS/PCS - Indian Administrative Service/Public Service commission, there is no such IAS/PCS CSAT course to be pursed.
To become an IAS officer one has to apply, appear and crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC once every year. The eligible candidate must be an Indian national having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a reconised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate. The selection is through two stages of written exam followed by Personal Interview. -CSAT- Civil Service Aptitude Test - Preliminary Exam -Civil Service Main Exam -Personal Interview Restriction to number of attempts to Civil Service Exam:- General candidate - Four OBC Candidate - Seven SC/ST candidate - No limit or restriction For more information you may log on to http://www.upsc.gov.in |

In the UPSC Civil services exams (for IAS, IPS etc) CSAT is the first stage of the exams.
Earlier this exam was called Prelims Exams. In the CSAT exams there are two papers. Both these papers are of 200 marks. Time given to answer both these papers is 120 minutes. Questions are in objective mode only. Sections of the CSAT exams and its papers are: PAPER 1- Current events, History of India,Indian National Movement, India and World Geography, Indian polity and governance General science, Economic and social development,General issues on environmental PAPER 2- Comprehension, Basic numeracy, General mental Ability,Logical Reasoning, English Language Comprehension |
