Actully, i want to know about my work after joining a reputated company like infosys or wipro or TCS after b.tech in computer science means what type of work i will have to do in that company.Everybody is always saying that when we will be an engineering we will get job and get a good amount of salary.

There are so many post in, IT companies like Infosys, TCS etc after B.Tech are as follows,

1.senior enggineer.
2.IT administration.
3.data operator.
4.executive
5.hr
6.research and development.

in TCS the freshers student will be recruited as Assistant system engineer. first they have to undergo for 1 year training. after training you have to do work under one project leader. sometime according to your training performance you may shift to a very good post of work other than the general candidate. the project manager will decide which job will be given to you. sometime they may give to write you program. sometime they may give you one task to check on software or any programming, may give work in maintenance job. like this there are so many job for computer science engineering students in IT industry. task will be divided to the worker according to their knowledge and performance.



similarly in Infosys or wipro same things happen. the name of post may differ. but work is almost similar in all IT company. obviously the project type will be also different.


you should not worry whatever you have to do after training they will teach in the training duration. you should learn everything what will be taught in training. then you will be able to do your job satisfactorily. but to be extraordinary you must use your knowledge when you will do any job.

you are going to work as an Asst. system engineer trainee for few months.
then you will become Asst. system engineer after successful completion of your training period.

Generally all software companies like Infosys, TCS,WIPRO etc develops software applications for PCs, Laptops as well as mobile phones. so, whenever a candidate placed in these companies they are given the post of software developers or trainee. After 6 months of training they will get the post software developer or database administrator. Most of the cases are trainee and then software developer.
The work will be carried out in the various platform like mainframe, database, JAVA, ORACLE, MYSQL, .NET, Visual Studio etc. So you must have to know how to work on these platform.
As long as they provide the good salary package after some time period but initially everyone have to struggle with lots of work pressure.

After joining companies like infosys or TCS you will get a chance of working in Development,Testing or support according your Knowledge.
if you are ggod in programming languages like c,c++,java. dot net then you can be a developer.
if you have good knowledge in software development system,then you can be a tester.
and finally if you dont have this knowledges and only having good communication skills then you may put into support and meintenance.

Basically the job will be given in the call letter itself.IF he doesnt mention your job details then the posting can be in to any department.

Chance are in departments like:

Testing.

Quality assurance.

Analyst

System administration.

The main job are listed below for a core student.Which they generally prefer.

• Developer

The salary can be limited to the industry standards.We can expect around 2.5 to 3.0 lakhs per year.

As tvs is strict about transfer policy, so i m thinking about job change. So what salary can can i get after completing my ilp at trivandrum. Will it be easier to change job.
