Hello
You can apply for following entrance exams: CDS which is conducted every year by upsc for entry to airforce,navy and army,details regarding examination will be released in employment news,or visit upsc's official website www.upsc.gov.in UES : university entry scheme is a scheme for graduates to entry into defense,you have to pass entrance ans ssb interview and medical test for it. there are several mode of entries to airforse as well defense like technical entry scheme etc,you can get all the details from http://www.indianairforce.nic.in Good luck |

age eligibility remains the same whether Technical or Non technical grade Age 16-20 years This is applicable only to men. but the educational eligibility differ for the course |

Combined Defense Services (CDS) Exam is generally conducted twice a year by the Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) to recuirt the Indian Military Academy(IMA), Officers Training Academy(OTA), Naval Academy and Air Force Academy(AFA)
Generally,the notice is published in the month of March and September every year. Eligibility Criteria: Age: i)19 to 23 years ii)19 to 25 years for CPL Holders which is issued by DGCA ,India. Upper age limit is relaxed up to 25 years. |

AGE CRITERIA FOR AIR FORCE :
NORMALLY CANDIDATES HAVING THEIR AGE IN BETWEEN 19 TO 23 YEARS ARE ALLOWED FOR AIR FORCE... Additional criteria : 1.You must be an Indian 2.You should complete 12th standard examination. 3.You should not have any color blindness. |

The three branches of the Air force are Flying, Ground duty and Technical branch. The officer cadre provides opportunities for men with 10+2 / Intermediate (only in the Flying branch), graduates (all three branches), engineers (all three branches) and postgraduates (all branches except the Flying branch) in the various positions. Women with graduate (all three branches), engineering (all three branches) and post graduate degrees (all branches except the Flying branch) have openings as an Officer in the Air force. The career options and eligibility for the candidates having different educational qualifications for the Officer Cadre in the different branches of the Air force are given in the following links. Intermediate (10+2) Graduate Post Graduate Engineers age should be 18-22 years |

Age:
A candidate must be an unmarried male and have attained the age of 16 1/2 years and must not have attained the age 19 years on the 1st January or 1st of July of the year succeeding the year of examination. Educational Qualifications: (1) For Army Wing of National Defence Academy: 12th Class pass of 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University. (2) For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 (Executive Branch) course at the Naval Academy: 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of a School Education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University. Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply. Plan of the Examination: The examination comprises: (i) Written Examination in the subjects set out in Para 5 below; and (ii) Intelligence, obstacles and Group Tests by Services Selection Board of the candidates, who qualify the written examination. Note: · The papers in all subjects will consist of OBJECTIVE-TYPE questions only. · The question papers (Test Booklets) will be set in English only. |

DEFENCE SERVICE
Combined Defence Services Examination (II), 2001 Union Public Service Commission will hold the examination on August 19, 2001 for admission to Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy and Air Force Academy. For details regarding scheme & syllabi, centres of examination, instructions for filling up application form, list of designated HPOs/POs for availability of form etc., candidates must consult Commission's Notice for Examination as published in Employment News/Rozgar Samachar dated March 17, 2001. Complete details about examination will also be available on Internet on the Commission's website at address: http://www.upsc.gov.in The Common application form for UPSC examination alongwith an information brochure containing general instructions for filling up the form, an acknowledgement card and an envelope for sending application will be available from any one of the designated Head Post Offices/Post Officces throughout country and may be purchased against cash payment of Rupees twenty only. Candidates must use only the form supplied with information brochure. Conditions of Eligibility: (i) For Indian Military Academy: Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July 1978 and not later than 1st July, 1983 only are eligible. (ii) For Naval Academy: Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1980 (2nd July, 1978 in case of Naval Wing 'C' certificate holders) and not later than 1st July, 1983 only are eligible. (iii) For Air Force Academy: Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1979 and not later than 1st July, 1983 only are eligible. (iv) For Officers' Training Academy: Male candidates (married or unmarried) born not earlier than 2nd July, 1977 and not later than 1st July, 1983 only are eligible. (b) Educational Qualifications: (i) For Indian Military Academy and Officers' Training Academy: Degree of a recognised university or equivalent. (ii) For Naval Academy: B.Sc (with Physics & Mathematics) or Bachelor of Engineering. (iii) For Air Force Academy: B.Sc. (with Physics and/or Mathematics) or Bachelor of Engineering. (iv) Candidates who are studying in final year Degree Course and have yet to pass final year degree examination or equivalent examination can also apply for Examination, but they will be required to submit proof of passing by the specified dates published in Commission's Notice for Examination. (c) Physical Standards: Candidates must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to Combined Defence Services Examination (II), 2001 as per guidelines given in Appendix-IV of Commission's Notice for Examination published in Employment News/Rozgar Samachar dated 17th March, 2001. Last Date for receipt of Applications: Completed applications must reach Secretary, Union Public Service Commission, Dholpur House, Shahjanhan Road, New Delhi-110011 on or before April 16, 2001. In respect of applications received only by post (post/Speed Post) from candidates residing in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, J&K State, Lahaul & Spiti District and Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep or abroad, the last date for receipt of applications is April 23, 2001. In case of applications received by hand or courier service, benefit of extended time will not be available, regardless of place of residence of applicant. |

Age criteria for joining Indian Air Force is - For CDSE and NCC age limit is 19 to 23 years( only for men.) For short service commission age limit is 19 to 23 years ( both men and women.) |

well the minimum qualification for joining air force is 10+2,you cannot join air force if you are not atleast 10+2 qualified.
AGE CRITERIA FOR DIFFERENT QUALIFICATION 1)for 10+2 qualification it is 16 and half to 19 years 2)for graduate or engineer it is 19 to 23 years 3)for post graduate it is 20 to 25 years.upper age limit is relaxed upto 26 years for law graduates(3 year course),upto 27 years for CA/ph.d/M.ED ALL THE AGE MEANS AT THE TIME OF COMMENCEMENT OF COURSE. you need to join the Air force in two ways. 1. NDA 2. CDS NDA stands for National Defence Service. CDS stands for Combined Defence Service. Both exams conducted by Union Public Service. Age Criteria for Both Exams: NDA: Age limit is between 16.5 to 19 years. CDS: Age limit is between 19 to 24 years. NDA exam candidate need to complete 12th standard. CDS exam candidate need to complete graduation form any recognized university. ALL THE BEST. |

Hai, For this you can crack the NDA exam, NDA(National Defence Academy) exam is conducted by the UPSC twice in a year i.e NDA-I, NDA-II. Eligibility criteria: The candidate should be complete +2 from a recognised state board. You should be a citizen of india. You must be physically fit. Age limit: The candidate should be between 16 1/2 year to 19years. And the most important thing is only unmarried male candidates are eligible. Selection process: Written test Interview Medical test all the best............. |
