As you ahve done your diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering, I guess You have a good knowledge about your stream.

I will suggest you to stick with your own stream and do the B.Tech having ECE as your specialisation. This will help you in your B.Tech Career.

Sudden Shift into other stream may cause difficulty for you to complete B.Tech.

ECE also have great oppurtunities in job sectors

You acn apply in
1. Core Electronics Sector Companies.

2. Core Communication Sector Companies.

3. Software Sector Companies.


Still if you want to change your stream, you have the options for the following streams......

1. ECE
2. CSE
3. IT
4. EIE
5. AEEE
etc etc.........

So take your decision yourself........

If you diploma course is approve by A.I.C.T.E then you have to qualify the entrance exam. After passing the exam you can take admission in any top college in India..

You have made a good decision to pursue higher studies after diploma.
This will increase your job prospects.
It will be better if you complete B.Tech/B.E in electronics and communication. You can join through lateral entry in many colleges.
Once you clear the entrance tests for these courses you can join directly for second year of engineering.
