Is there Polytechnic distance college in Himachal and Chandigarh approval by AICTE and UGC? Can you please provide me with the list of colleges in which I can start applying for the course? It will be helpful if you can answer me back soon. Thanks!

AICTE stands for All India Council for Technical Education. AICTE has not approved any polytechnic college to offer courses of diploma in engineering in distance mode. In other words distance diploma are not approved by AICTE. You should apply for entrance examination of State to get admission in diploma course.

Based upon your rank in diploma entrance exam, you will get admission in regular polytechnic colleges.

Some polytechnic colleges in Himachal Pradesh are:

>>Dr B R Ambedkar Government Polytechnic college, Ambota.

>>Devasya Polytechnic College.

>>Shivalik Polytechnic College.

In Chandigarh, it is Chandigarh Polytechnic college, Chandigarh College of Engineering and Technology.

There is no distance polytechnic college in Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh that is approved by All India Council for Technical Education and University Grants Commision.

AICTE has not approved any distance diploma or degree colleges.

*There is no polytechnic college either in Himachal Pradesh or in Tamil Nadu which is approved by AICTE in distance mode.

* It is mentioned on official website of AICTE that distance diploma is not valid.
