The universities which offers B.Ed through distance and are recognized by University Grant Commission as well as Distance Education Council are :

• Kurukshetra University
• Indira Gandhi National Open University

While pursuing courses through distance mode, its important to know whether the university is approved by Distance Education Council or not. Therefore, to have recognition of your B.Ed degree, you should pursue the course from any of the two universities mentioned above.

B.ed stands for the Bachelor education.It is now compulsory for one who wants to become teacher in government schools.

Due to these the craze for doing B.ed has increased in last few years.For doing B.ed you need minimum of 50% marks in bachelor's degree.

For correspondence that is distance mode there is no upper age limit for bachelor of education,however for regular B.ed it is 28 years.
