Re: Is M.Tech. better than GRE?
You mean to say that is GATE better than GRE. I would say definately GRE is better as if you get a good score in GRE then you can get into Top colleges in the world with top class education. Yeah it will be costly affair but if you want to aim higher then GRE is for you
Otherwise GATE is also a good option. You can get into top engineering colleges like IITs and NITs. But they are not comparable to top Engineering colleges in the world So think about it. Answer both the exams and go for the one which you get |

Please go ahead with this thread if your question is this "Is M.tech better than M.S. programme" ( Because you had not specified it clearly ) First of all you can find answer to this question basing on the point what kind of area you are expecting to go after your Master degree programme because 1. If you want to learn all the principles of application of technology with the help of goods and services available in your technical field then choose to go for M.tech 2. If you want to learn the science and if you are aiming for a Ph.D degree + if you want to continue in science field then choose MS. Both are having their own equal importance but it differs on the point what we want after doing that degree. Thats it. I hope you got your answer. All the best for your future and choose a right field which suits your aim and need. |

Re: Is M.Tech. better than GRE?
Hi,
You are comparing two different kind of exams. M.Tech entrance test is taken for admission to Master's courses in several engineering disciplines in reputed IITs and NITs, whether GRE is a standard test to be eligible to study in top foreign institutes/universities. So, one is giving you the chance of higher study in our country , another is giving you the eligibility certificate to study abroad. Now, i think your doubt has been cleared a little bit. Good luck! |

Re: Is M.Tech. better than GRE?
dear friend
Both are good. But, if you ask to choose one of them, then i will choose GRE. If you appear the GRE, then you will get good colleges in foreign. But if you appear the GATE exams, then you will get good colleges in India. If you clear the GRE exams with good marks, then you will get a chance to study in foreign with high educational enviorment. So, if you are think to appear in GRE, then i think it is good decision. If you are interested to study in foreign, then GRE is the best. But, please appear for both the exams, GATE as well as for GRE. If you dont score good in GRE, then as per GATE score you will get colleges in india. So, if you are interested in GRE, then please work hard for this, because GRE is not a easy exams........... |

Dear friend,
These are two totally two different exams: M.Tech entrance test is taken for admission to Master's courses in several engineering disciplines in reputed IITs and NITs. GRE is a test to be eligible to study in top foreign universities. So in one you have a chance to serve your country while in other for foreign. So think and then go for it. BEST OF LUCK!!! |

Re: Is M.Tech. better than GRE?
By my opinion ..those without financial and family crunches are best suited for gre..
However that doesnot undermine the status of the education in iits.. the environment changes ..thats true.. but finally the knowledge counts which would be the criteria for further ventures.. time may be required..but the strong willed power can outshine anywhere |

dear friend,
obviously GRE is better than Mtech.. because after clearing GRE you can take admission in foreign colleges.. so, there is huge chance to go foreign .. Mtech is providing you a chance to complete your master degree in technical field from Indian college.. after doing Mtech there is also a huge scope to get a good job.. now, you decide where to go.. all the best.. |

DEAR FRIENDS,
both are the different thing, for the m.tech you should not go to the aboard, but if you want to do the master degree from the aboard, then for that you should give the GRE. |

Re: Is M.Tech. better than GRE?
hello friend
yeah GATE is always better when compared to GRE in many ways go through all the points which feels us that GATE is better than GRE ->first while preparing for GATE your basics of your core group ->you'll get very much interest in subject in which you want to do your masters ->and one more advantages that you can be placed in top universities if you do good in your preparation ->while preparing for gre you will nowhere find interesting all waste things will be taught there not waste but useless things ->GATE is very good when compared to GRE if you don't get good rank or got a good rank in GRE its of no use because you have to pay a lot of money to university's and you have to keep all your assets in the embassy if you're not financially sound ->GATE has a lot scope to show your skills to pursue masters to get in to research organisations like ISRO and DRDO etc ->GATE is very affordable and you will get 15000 of stipend (in case if u do your masters in iit's ) so in always GATE is best than GRE choose your best ,make a good decision all the best ~aditya~ |

Re: Is M.Tech. better than GRE?
Hi friend, GRE is an exam which will help you get admission in foreign universities but it has no importance in India. And according to me, mtech is a mush better program and mnay of our indian universities are offering interesting and unique programs like built environment, structural engineering, Robotics, artificial intelligence etc. With these programs you can learn so many new and unique things which you might not get ot know even in foreign university. And as these are core sector programs, I would advise you to look for them to get a good job in any good multinational company. Though not many universities and colleges are not famous for these programs but my friend told me that UPES is a university which is famous for its programs in pan asia region.

Re: Is M.Tech. better than GRE?
hi,
M.Tech in India or MS in US? The answer to this question according to my understanding is US is a good option. As even a university with rank around 300 will have a one or two good facultiesmembers who studied at top universities during certain level of their educational qualifications. At least they carry that culture with them and can be helpful for the students to think differently and confidently. Job opportunities in US are more, as the competition is less than when compared to India. best of luck |
