No, it is not mandatory for everyone to appear in Maharashtra Common Entrance Test(MHT- CET). This exam is conducted by Directorate of Technical Education. This exam scorecard is acceptable throughout Maharashtra to get admission in undergraduate Engineering and Pharmacy courses. Though, many private colleges prefer direct admission in that courses based on class 12 marks. So, if you are not interested to appear in MHT CET exam , then you can get admission in some private colleges in Maharashtra based on your class 12 marks. And, if you are not interested to do B.Tech or B.Pharma courses then also you need not to appear in MHT CET examination.

Well MHT-CET is mandatory if you intend to get admission in any of the reputed colleges WITHOUT DONATION FEES.

But you can do BTech without MHT-CET by paying lot of donation + tution fees, whereas if you have a good MHT-CET score you can get good BTech college without donation.

Hope this will help you

MHT-CET is not mandatory to pursue B.Tech course after 12th.

There are many other entrance exams like JEE Main, BITSAT, COMEDK, VITEE, etc. through which you can pursue B.Tech course if you qualify anyone of them.

MHT-CET is primarly conducted for Maharashtra candidates for getting admission to engineering, medical institutes. To get admission into Maharashtra colleges, home state candidates get reservation for admission into colleges.

- Candidate who cleared their +2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics in an recognized board
- With minimum required marks 50% can apply for the Entrance Exam
- Aspiring candidates can also apply through JEE to do B.Tech
- Candidates should register for the admission
- Admission is after considering entrance marks
- Candidates who are appearing in board exam can also apply for the entrance exam

For admission in four years of engineering courses, candidates have to appear in the state level or in national level entrance exam. Some universities conducted their own entrance exam such as Symbiosis International University (SET) for providing admission. Without appearing in any of the said entrance exams, candidates will not be considered for the admission procedure.

MHT in MHT-CET stands for Maharashtra. Its not mandatory to give MHT-CET for getting admission in a college offering BTech course, but you will have a better chance at getting admission if you give MHT-CET as the other way would be through JEE Main through which you will have a 15% chance of getting into a college in Maharashtra for BTech. Also, preference is given to MHT-CET first and then to those who cleared JEE. So MHT-CET is definitely your best option in order to get admission into a college offering BTech course. In my personal opinion, state exams do offer lesser competition than nation wide ones so MHT-CET will definitely offer you a better chance. So study hard and All the Best!

B.Tech stands for bachelor of Technology course. The duration of this course is four years. For this course candidate should have passed 12th class in science stream from a recognized board.

In government reputed college the admission of candidate will be done on the basis of entrance examination like Joint entrance examination/ MHT-CET. So if you want to get admission in top government college then you have to appear in MHT-CET to study B.Tech course.

As per my knowledge, yes it is not mandatory to appear in MHT-CET to study B.Tech for 12th Science student so you can appear in JEE Main, BITSAT, COMEDK, VITEE, etc.

If you want to get admission in state government engineering colleges of Maharashtra then Maharashtra Common Entrance Test rank is necessary to get admission in it. Some private colleges can take admission on PCM percentage of marks also.

There are other engineering entrance exams also for admission in Bachelor of Technology course like JEE, BITSAT, LPU NEST, VITEEE, SRMEEE etc.

No, it is not mandatory to appear in Maharashtra common entrance test to study Bachelor of Technology for 12th science student. There are plethora of entrance examinations for admission in engineering course.

Maharashtra government conducts entrance exam for admission in government and private engineering colleges of Maharashtra. There are around 15% management quota seats in engineering colleges where students can take admission based on percentage of marks in 12th board exam.

You can prepare for entrance exam after 12th also if you are not able to cope up with both.

It is mandatory to appear and qualify in MH-CET examination if you want to get admission in B.Tech course in government colleges of state government.

To get admission in other than state government institutes you can appear and qualify in JEE or examination conducted the institute.

The common eligibility to get admission in the course is that candidate must have passed 12th in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as main paper.

MHT- CET refers to Maharashtra Common Entrance Test and same is an entrance examination held for offering admission in undergraduate technical degree courses across various engineering colleges in Maharashtra.

So, in case you do not apply for MHT-CET then you will not be able to seek admission in government engineering colleges funded by Maharashtra government or private engineering colleges taking admission on the basis of MHT-CET score.

But, still you will have various options for pursuing B.Tech degree course through entrance examinations like JEE, SRMEEE, VITEEE, BITSAT, etc. .

Yes there are collages who give admission on JEE quota but still there are few collages for that and if you give mht cet you have a very much greater chance of admission than that of the jee rank 1 candidate
Its not mandatory to give mht cet if you have given jee as 15% quota are in every collage
But mht cet have a greater chance of admission

The acronym MH CET stands for Maharashtra Common Entrance Test.

This is state level competitive entrance exam. It is not mandatory to appear in MH CET exam to get admission in Bachelor of Technology. You can apply for any of given below exams to get admission in Bachelor of Technology:

LPU NEST.

Joint Entrance Examination.

UPSEE, BCECE, VITEEE, SRMEEE, BITSAT etc.

You can even take direct admission under management quota seats in private engineering college on basis of PCM percentage.

No, not at all.

The entrance in Engineering has been made uniform throughout the country by the authorities.

All you need is to study well and fight the JEE.

Depending upon the your performance in that exam, you will be allotted the college and stream, anywhere in the country.

If you are interested to take admission in state government engineering colleges of Maharashtra then you need to apply for MH CET exam and clear it with good rank.

But for admission in other engineering colleges, this exam is not required. There are state level engineering exams, JEE for a national level examination for NIT and IIT.
