Re: Is it mandatory to appear in MHT-CET to study BTech for 12th Science student?
No, it is not mandatory for everyone to appear in Maharashtra Common Entrance Test(MHT- CET). This exam is conducted by Directorate of Technical Education. This exam scorecard is acceptable throughout Maharashtra to get admission in undergraduate Engineering and Pharmacy courses. Though, many private colleges prefer direct admission in that courses based on class 12 marks. So, if you are not interested to appear in MHT CET exam , then you can get admission in some private colleges in Maharashtra based on your class 12 marks. And, if you are not interested to do B.Tech or B.Pharma courses then also you need not to appear in MHT CET examination.

Re: Is it mandatory to appear in MHT-CET to study BTech for 12th Science student?
Well MHT-CET is mandatory if you intend to get admission in any of the reputed colleges WITHOUT DONATION FEES.
But you can do BTech without MHT-CET by paying lot of donation + tution fees, whereas if you have a good MHT-CET score you can get good BTech college without donation. Hope this will help you |

Re: Is it mandatory to appear in MHT-CET to study BTech for 12th Science student?
MHT-CET is not mandatory to pursue B.Tech course after 12th.
There are many other entrance exams like JEE Main, BITSAT, COMEDK, VITEE, etc. through which you can pursue B.Tech course if you qualify anyone of them. MHT-CET is primarly conducted for Maharashtra candidates for getting admission to engineering, medical institutes. To get admission into Maharashtra colleges, home state candidates get reservation for admission into colleges. |

Re: Is it mandatory to appear in MHT-CET to study BTech for 12th Science student?
For admission in four years of engineering courses, candidates have to appear in the state level or in national level entrance exam. Some universities conducted their own entrance exam such as Symbiosis International University (SET) for providing admission. Without appearing in any of the said entrance exams, candidates will not be considered for the admission procedure.

Re: Is it mandatory to appear in MHT-CET to study BTech for 12th Science student?
MHT in MHT-CET stands for Maharashtra. Its not mandatory to give MHT-CET for getting admission in a college offering BTech course, but you will have a better chance at getting admission if you give MHT-CET as the other way would be through JEE Main through which you will have a 15% chance of getting into a college in Maharashtra for BTech. Also, preference is given to MHT-CET first and then to those who cleared JEE. So MHT-CET is definitely your best option in order to get admission into a college offering BTech course. In my personal opinion, state exams do offer lesser competition than nation wide ones so MHT-CET will definitely offer you a better chance. So study hard and All the Best!

Re: Is it mandatory to appear in MHT-CET to study BTech for 12th Science student?
B.Tech stands for bachelor of Technology course. The duration of this course is four years. For this course candidate should have passed 12th class in science stream from a recognized board.
In government reputed college the admission of candidate will be done on the basis of entrance examination like Joint entrance examination/ MHT-CET. So if you want to get admission in top government college then you have to appear in MHT-CET to study B.Tech course. As per my knowledge, yes it is not mandatory to appear in MHT-CET to study B.Tech for 12th Science student so you can appear in JEE Main, BITSAT, COMEDK, VITEE, etc. |

Re: Is it mandatory to appear in MHT-CET to study BTech for 12th Science student?
MHT- CET refers to Maharashtra Common Entrance Test and same is an entrance examination held for offering admission in undergraduate technical degree courses across various engineering colleges in Maharashtra.
So, in case you do not apply for MHT-CET then you will not be able to seek admission in government engineering colleges funded by Maharashtra government or private engineering colleges taking admission on the basis of MHT-CET score. But, still you will have various options for pursuing B.Tech degree course through entrance examinations like JEE, SRMEEE, VITEEE, BITSAT, etc. . |

Re: Is it mandatory to appear in MHT-CET to study BTech for 12th Science student?
Yes there are collages who give admission on JEE quota but still there are few collages for that and if you give mht cet you have a very much greater chance of admission than that of the jee rank 1 candidate
Its not mandatory to give mht cet if you have given jee as 15% quota are in every collage But mht cet have a greater chance of admission |

Re: Is it mandatory to appear in MHT-CET to study BTech for 12th Science student?
Hello, you have asked a good question. If you are interested in B.tech after 12th then MHT-CET is not the only option. You can get admission to B.tech on the basis of JEE-MAINS score too.But one thing is must you have to study properly to crack any one if them.I think MHT-CET is easy as compared. You can score good by just studying only 12th maths, physics and chemistry board textbooks. You can score above 150 by just studying your board textbooks completely and then solve Marval MCQ book.Good Luck
