MBBS stands for the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor Surgery. There are so many entrance examinations conducted for admission in MBBS course.
1. All India Pre Medical test conducted by CBSE. 2. All India Institute of Medical Science entrance exam. 3. State Pre Medical test. Every year the cut off marks required to get admission in MBBS in government engineering colleges changes. On a general basis if you belong to general category if you are able to score between 60-70% of total marks of entrance exam, you will probably get admission otherwise not. For all these entrance exams, you must have done 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and biology. For Chemistry, you can go for NCERT books and O.P Tandon as reference books. In case of Physics, H.C Verma along with NCERT. Questions in biology is mainly asked from NCERT books and you can also buy Pradeep publication book for practice. |

No, admission in the MBBS course is not on the basis of the board aggregate as there are various entrance examination conducted by the different state education and the central education board for the admission.
So you need to qualify in these examination for the selection for the admission in the government colleges for the MBBS course. As there are minimum aggregate requirements to appear for some of the examination which is 60% in the PCB group. Mostly students try to go with the NCERT books and reference books if they do not understand any particular topics. But you can buy the Pradeep, GRB, O.P Tondon Chemistry, H.C Verma Physics for the preparation. |
