Is Maths subject compulsory to apply for Banking job or not?
Is Maths subject compulsory to apply for Banking job or not? Can you please give me the details on the same? What is the minimum criteria followed? It will be helpful if you can guide me with the details on the same. Awaiting for the response. Thanks!

Maths is not compulsory in education qualification to applying for banking job, but maths knowledge is required at some level to crack banking exam.
Eligibility Education Qualification You must be graduate in any discipline from a recognized university to apply for Bank Clerk and PO posts. Age Limit Your age must not be less than 20 years and more than 28 years for Bank Clerk. Age must be between 21 to 30 years for Bank PO. First thing I would like to let you know that there is no compulsion of Mathematics or any other subjects for banking jobs like bank clerk or bank probationary and the minimum educational qualification required for the same is a bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
Further for your recruitment as a bank clerk or bank probationary officer in nationalized bank of India you need to qualify bank entrance examinations like IBPS bank examination and SBI bank examination for which the minimum eligibility criteria required are as below :- * You must have the nationality of India. * Your age must lie within 20 years to 28 years for the post of bank clerk where as for the post of bank probationary officer it must lie within 21 years to 30 years. Further age relaxation is applicable for reserved category candidates as per the government norms. * You must good communication skills along with basic knowledge of working on computer. The minimum academic qualification for banking job is bachelor's degree in any stream. Banking job aspirants should have studied mathematics upto standard 10th so that they can solve aptitude section easily.
So mathematics is not compulsory to apply for Bank job but knowledge of mathematics upto standard 10th is necessary for clearing different stages of entrance exam for Bank jobs. |

No, it is not compulsory to have mathematics as main paper in 12th or bachelor degree to appear for banking entrance examination.
The required minimum qualification to appear for examination is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree in any discipline. The age limit varies with IBPS/SBI/Private sector and for different post. So, you can visit the official website of respective examination for more details about eligibility criteria. The entrance examination for recruitment in banking jobs ( Clerk/PO etc.. ) is conducted by IBPS, SBI.
The eligibility to appear for examination is :- Candidate must have passed bachelor degree in any discipline. Candidate's age varies with examination. Candidate must have passed degree in any discipline ( for core jobs as legal officer LLB degree is required ).
