Bank PO jobs are in hot demand these days. The number of candidates who are applying for Bank PO jobs are going on increasing.

The selection procedure for Bank PO jobs is by
-Written Exam
-Interview

The written Exam consists of questions from the following categories
-Reaoning
-Quantitative Aptitude
-General Awareness
-Computer knowledge and Marketing knowledge
-General English

There will be 50 questions in each of the above mentioned categories. Each question will carry a maximum of 1 mark.

So, the written exam will be for 250 marks.

In addition, the candidate has to appear for Descriptive Exam also for a maximum of 50 marks with the duration of 1 hour.

One need to secure minimum qualifying marks in each of the categories of the written exam to get through the written test.

There is a negative marking for wrong answers which is 1/4th. If a candidate has attempted 4 wrong answers, 1 mark from the actual marks he scored will be deducted.

So, don't attempt the questions for which you do not have an idea of answer.

From the previous academic year IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) is conducting Common Written Exam for the recruitment of PO positions for 19 public sector banks.

If you are intereted, you can apply and appear for this Exam with good preparation.

IBPS score card is valid for a period of 1 year.

Dear friend
The maximum number of marks for general category is around 125 in IBPS.
There are 19 banks for which you can apply in 2012. The total no. of marks is 250 consisting of five sections.
The qualifying marks also depends on number of students applying
hope you find these useful
