Dear friend
If you are doing some part time or full time job then distance learning program is a good choice as it saves both, money and time. But, if you are doing nothing but sitting at home and you are willing to do distance learning program in MCA then it is time waste. if you have done BCA and you are interested in the field then you must go for masters as it makes your knowledge much more effective. Don't be afraid for jobs. India is a developing country and in the very recent future its market will be up and also India will start playing important in software and IT industry. Mumbai University, Distance Learning Master of Computer Applications (MCA) This program is designed to impart knowledge and training in the recent advancements and modern trends in the field of computer applications. ELIGIBILITY MCA (Master of Computer Application) : - Three years (Six semesters) Post Graduate Degree Course Min. Qualification: Graduate in any faculty of a statutory University with minimum 45% marks (minimum 40% for reserved category) and Mathematics at XII or higher level. Final Year Degree Students will be allowed to appear at the Entrance Test. There will be an aptitude test for the admission in MCA course. Entrance Test: MCA Provisional selection will be based on the Entrance Test conducted by IDE, University of Mumbai. Duration: Six Semesters All the best Thank You. |

hi,
the distance education program should be taken only if you want your degree and are not interested in the practical application of the knowledge which you acquire, the certificate value of the Mumbai university is good but the companies generally prefer regular candidates , if you apply for any job you will be given last preference all the best |

Hello friend,
The certificate value of Mumbai University in MCA from distance learning ,is surely good. But companies prefer to recruit regular students, so there you can lag behind other candidates. Good luck! |

Hi,
I work in IT Company. As far I know, if you are working in IT field having adequate practical knowledge and want to pursue higher education, distance mode is good. Or else, if u r a fresher, better to opt for regular course as scope of placements for it are more. Most of IT companies for freshers prefer regular courses as eligibility criteria. |

Though I am a professional and have no time to spend on studies, but I want to join MCA by distance education for my interest in computer. Which college is best in chandigarh that can fulfill my requirements in terms of knowledge. I have heard that the colleges are interested in fee, pay it and get the degree. The faculty of colleges only serve the eye wash purpose.
