Greeting for the day; No its not correct.MCA has a great career. There are lots of career option after a MCA degree in top of IT company .if you are interested in MCA so don't listen to anybody.I know many of my friend who has completed mca and he is in top notch IT company and they are making lots of money. As far as mba is concern its totally different from MCA, in mba there is no use of your programming skills anymore. All the best Thanks khanddn |

Re: MCA or MBA: Which is a better option for career?
Dear friend,
MCA or MBA! confused? please don't be..Just ask yourself what you want to pursue next, rather asking others opinion. Because if you are interested in pursuing MCA then why you are going with consent of others?? People can excel in things only of they have interest in it. So go with your choice. MCA is a very good career as a software programmer or analyst in the software industry. Different reputed MNC farms require MCA professionals and the demand for them is very high just like B.tech/B.E graduates. Whereas,MBA is totally different area than MCA,where management is much important and also MBA professional are on demand. But choice is yours what you want to do next.. All the best! |

Re: MCA or MBA: Which is a better option for career?
Firstly you have to know both are Master degrees and both are good courses and both are totally different from each other..
MCA master in computer application and MBA stand mater in Business management .. Commerce students do MBA after their graduation and MCA which is software field all students which have Maths in thier intermediate or in graduation time are eligible for MCA.. So now decision in your hand what you choose... MCA have more placement then that of MBA... |

Re: MCA or MBA: Which is a better option for career?
Whoever told you that "you dont have better career", they are totally wrong.
Both MCA and MBA have equal value my friend, but you have to choose one according to your interest. If you are interested in doing MCA, that is very good, you should go for it... Look I am telling you the differences between MBA and MCA. 1. Objectives: MBA is Masters in Business Administration, while MCA is Masters in Computer Application. MBA are for those who are interested in Business and management and corporate world, whereas MCA are for those who are interested in Software industry and programming. 2. Duration: MBA is a 2 years post graduation course and MCA is a 3 years post graduation course. 3. Eligibility: For MBA, anyone who has completed his or her graduation in any field from a recognized university is eligible for MBA. For MCA, Any graduate who has passed or appearing for the final year degree examination in any discipline (Science, Commerce, Arts, Engineering or any approved University) is eligible to apply. But candidates must have mathematics as a subject in their 10+2 course or any one year of graduation 4. Employment areas: For MBA, Business Consultancies, Brand & Marketing, Non-profit Organizations, Personal Business, Export Companies, Financial Organizations, Industrial Houses, Multinational Companies etc.... For MCA, Computers and Related Electronic Equipment Manufacturers, Database Management, E-Commerce, Networking, Embedded Technologies, Design Support And Data Communications, System Maintenance, Security and Surveillance Companies, Software Development Companies etc etc.... So Both the courses are equally demanding, salaries will also be same but you have to go with your interest.... |

Re: MCA or MBA: Which is a better option for career?
Dear aspirant,
Both the courses have its own significance. MBA: If you are good in english and you are having interest in it. Have to study management concepts and mostly theoretical in nature. With the help of this course you will work in teh management level of any company. MCA: This course is related to IT Industry. If you are a good good programmer then you can think of this course or willing to be. You can be a hardware and networking professional. Now a days a huge no. of recruitments are going on in both the fields of study. It is based on your interest and your study background and choose which suits you the best. Believe you can and you will on the half way. Please do visit this website for your queries related to any entrance exam. Best of luck |
